I needed to read this today. It is so easy to lose track of when you overestimate what your therapy pet can handle-I did but don't think I ruined her, that would be a tragedy.

Finding a mini version of Dori was so fun........

Dori found a “cousin” Perry from Korea today. Dori is fast, but Perry is a speed demon.......they had a ball❣️

UPDATE on this situation:

The injured dog's owners did file a police report. The injured dog was treated for severe neck wounds and is recovering.

The owner of the 3 dogs that attacked was visited by police and animal control. One dog was taken away and deemed to be vicious, while the other two were deemed dangerous dogs. The future of the vicious dog will be decided after a court hearing. Based upon this information, these 3 dogs were unanimously banned from coming to the dog park by the Leavenworth Parks Advisory Board.

Anyone who was at the large side of the dog park the afternoon of Sunday, April 11, when 3 large dogs attacked a small dog who was seriously injured, please please please contact this FB page with what you know!! Thank you!

A huge thank you to Leavenworth Parks & Rec for getting the larger south big dog side open! There's new gravel under the benches, and the water has been turned on.

We would also like to thank the donor of the new bench on the far southwest section of the park.

As the weather gets warmer, we are so excited to have you and your family enjoy Waggin' Tails Dog Park! Please be responsible and take care of the park by picking up after your dogs, keeping your eye on them, and following the rules posted at the entrance to the park. Please practice social distancing, as well.

Not every dog is suited to go to dog parks. Please assess your dog’s temperament around other dogs. If your dog doesn’t do well with unknown dogs or if your dog is aggressive, please LEAVE THE PARK WITH YOUR DOG. If there is an altercation with another dog, the dog park rules signage has instructions and contact info on what to do.

This is a wonderful article on dog park etiquette!

The dog park can be a wonderful place to exercise your dog, get him better socialized, and most of all have some fun! But, nothing ruins a trip to the dog park like owners who ignore dog park etiquette.

Dori, Charlie (Australian Shepherds) and Jasper (Golden Retriever) love making new friends, so bring your family out for a great time at the dog park this weekend!
