Today it was nice enough to try a bath! This was when I was trying to warm her up to getting her body wet. She did really well! I only did her front half focusing on her white spots 😆 she was a little more nervous about her butt so I didn’t want to push it and wanted to end in a good note!

Here’s a quick update, my whole house has been sick the last two weeks…again from ear infections to bronchitis but we are on the mend and during that time I trimmed a little in her feet about a week ago so she is prepared for the farrier on Tuesday and she did awesome for me standing tied and messing with the tools and her feet, we’ve done lots of grooming to try to get that winter coat out and I have been trying to get her used to the hose, with this weather snowing every other day and so much cold we’ve only been able to get it on her feet and legs a little. Today I made a string of balloons to put over her and even with the crazy wind she did amazing!! I also decided to try on one of my old sleezies on her and she did great with that too! It was a little big but I have another one that I think is smaller.

Hey everyone sorry for the lack of updates, but Tilly and I have been still working! I tried to get some good pics to send in of her for her auction pictures which I’ll post below; and that silly girl…she kept wanting to follow me and move 😆 so they aren’t the greatest. I wormed her yesterday and she took it like a champ! If anyone in here is seriously interested in her and want to come visit her message me and we can make that happen!! We are located in Lebanon/Lacomb area.

Wonky photos I know 🤦‍♀️ she kept wanting to get close for scratches, but today we worked more on loading in the trailer, standing tied for grooming and getting her feet picked out, and we also put a saddle pad on to see how she reacted and she did awesome so I threw on the surcingle as well and was able to tighten it the best I could I’m going to have to punch more holes in it so it fits better (I’m also going to have to find a smaller pad 😆 but it worked) she did really amazing with it!

Tilly’s been enjoying being turned out every day ❤️ yesterday was super windy and she was running around like crazy having fun in it, it’s been a busy few days so I’ll be getting back at it tomorrow with her, I’ll try to get more videos my phone storage is full 😬 so I’ll try, sometimes it won’t let me take video.

Worked on walking over the tarp today, loading in trailer, standing tied, and side passing over a pole (funny thing is she’ll side pass towards me over the pole but not away from me 😂)

The first picture if from Friday, I took her out in the big girl pasture for the first time, I walked her around the perimeter that day and let her lunge around on the lead rope until she settled down but decided to wait to let her off, the rest of the photos are today, where I felt she was doing well enough to let her loose and have some fun!

Sorry for no new updates, I have been really sick the last couple days, my family had it last week and I thought I dodged the bullet for once…but I was wrong it just waited to hit me last 😔 not sure I’ll feel much better tomorrow but I’m still going to try to get out and do something with Miss. Tilly

Today we had an easy day, didn’t take things to seriously, she ate some grass, visited the cows, got some zoomies out, and saw how she would do with me standing on the mounting block.

Tilly went on an adventure this evening!! ❤️ I decided I couldn’t wait until this weekend so I loaded her up and we went to a friends barn! She did so good, she never ceases to impress me! I’ll try to upload some videos tonight or tomorrow.

I didn’t get video today but wanted to give another update. A friend of mine came out today and handled Tilly so we can get her used to other people 😁 she was nervous at first but warmed up about it. Hoping to take her for her first trailer ride next weekend!

I’ve been able to turn Tilly out in our corral area the last couple of days! She was super nervous the first time but was way calmer today the first day our cows came running up when they saw me and got her going good 😆 she is used to them though (her stall backs up to our cow field) I think they startled her cause the all three came running right towards her 🤦‍♀️ and I was also finally able to get the blanket on her!!

Decided to approach the trailer today!! And Tilly did so good!! I decided to let her stand by it as long as she needed to, she seems less concerned with things when we take a nonchalant kind of way at approaching new things. After about 10 minutes standing and putting in one foot to ”test the waters” she decided to just walk right in! We hung out in there for a while and then backed her out and decided to leave it there for now in hopes to build on it more from here on out!

This is from the day before yesterday, yesterday we worked on the same things but I forgot to press record on my phone 🤦‍♀️ here’s a clip from working with the flag, I’d say Tilly’s biggest thing is sounds she has ears like a hawk 😆 so I’m trying to find anything and everything that makes weird noises to get her used to them!

We crossed the bridge today, didn’t get it on video because I forgot to set up my phone but I got this quick video of her scratching it while I was scratching her withers, this was her first time seeing it and she very bravely walked up to it, slowly and cautiously 😆 but she did it! It spooked her a little when she put her feet up on it because of the sound so we stood there while I tapped my feet in it and after that she was fine! She’s very curious which helps!
