We are so excited for the incoming weather…though we won’t see this much powder as pictured…that we are going to stay off the roads, Friday, January 10th.

We will be able to provide end of life visits during this time but no routine appointment visits.

Sometimes when you find your favorite veterinarian again, you get a little excited to see her!

Strax and Dr. Crockett have a long history together! She’s cared for him since he was just a tiny puppy coming in for his first vaccinations until she started Cumberland Creek in 2022. Just recently his parents both decided to rejoin Dr. Crockett in their veterinary pet care!

Pets don’t forget those who have been kind and compassionate through many years of veterinary care!

Do you know why dental radiographs are so important for your pet?

Dental disease goes much further than just the gingival line. Dental radiographs allow the veterinarian to assess what’s below the tooth crown and visual eyes.

In this case, you can see the importance of why we do dental radiographs. Radiographs help the veterinarian determine tooth health, bone density, finding an oral tumor, and/or determining if a tooth needs extraction.

For this pet, we have periodontal pockets and massive bone loss around the tooth roots. Ultimately, tooth extractions are warranted for this pet.

There’s something special about not always knowing where we are traveling or knowing the homes you visit until you see an address or read the last name. Then excitement sets in as you know there are two new pups waiting to meet you!

Pet loss is hard to overcome. Sometimes a new pet can help over come loss and help the healing process for some! Happiness is seeing these pups bring joy!

Not every day is our job easy…but seeing these guys made my day and brought tears of joy! This is why we do our job!
