For the Love of Dog
Several years ago, I determined it was time to get another dog. Initially, I thought I’d get a Goldendoodle because several of my family members have dog allergies. But upon doing the research on doodles and speaking to former and current owners of doodles, I learned of all the health problems they face. I had fallen in love with standard poodles in the meantime, so I researched that breed and decided that was the one for me. Then in late January I found a breeder less than 100 miles from me with a little of twelve pups available, and I got Mayflower’s Rock N Roll Venus for my Valentines Day gift. “Gypsy” was a very cute and energetic and it was clear her intelligence was off the charts. She grew up to be such a phenomenal dog, I knew I had to breed her. I looked for a stud that I thought would be worthy of her (had to be within 300 miles, I refused to crate her and ship her away) for about three years with no success. Then one day I was poking around on one of my Poodle pages and found THE MAN. Not a stud dog but such a gorgeous pup I knew he was “the one.” So we packed up and drove to Clanton, Alabama, picked up “Negan” and became a 2 dog family. We will only be having one litter a year, and I promise, these pups will have the qualities to enable them to be whatever you want them to be.
We breed primarily for temperament, however they are physically sound and should do well in a show ring if you choose to go that way. Our pups are raised inside as part of the family, and will go to their furrever homes already paper trained at a minimum, and we begin manners training around 6 weeks. While their tales will be docked we will NOT remove the dewclaws unless the vet recommends it on a particular pup for health and safety reasons. They will have all required immunizations and a one year health guarantee. We will be screening potential puppy buyers because we want to ensure the puppies go to a good home and also to make sure you get the right one to fit your lifestyle and the goals you have for the pup.
