Our organization is a 501c3 charity in the state of Kansas, and has always provided supplies and support to other rescues and shelters. Our Services

The Pet Connection can help you and your family find the right dog or cat for your personality, home and lifestyle. To ensure that your relationship with your new pet is a happy and positive experience, The Pet Connection is here to provide training

and support with a variety of services. Consultation and positive training for aggression, housetraining, barrier and leash aggression, separation anxiety, and other common behaviors that may cause people to relinquish their pets. Foster care programs that enable dogs and cats to live in a home environment in order to avoid euthanasia at a shelter, recover from prior trauma and get accustomed to life in a household until the pet becomes more adoptable. Assistance to pet owners who are unable to keep their pets and wish to rehome their dog or cat responsibly. For Animal Rescue Organizations and Shelters

Seminars and workshops that teach positive staff interactions with shelter animals and methods to decrease shelter animals’ anxiety. We can show you how to make the shelter experience more humane and less stressful for the dogs and cats in your care. Consultation and training for dogs and cats that need to be rehabilitated due to aggression, fear, separation anxiety and other behaviors that keep pets from finding adoptive homes.

Whatcha doing on Saturday?

Hambingo with us on the 1st and then help us move the rest of the stuff out of Raytown. We could use help at 7pm on February 1st and possibly the morning of the 2nd if we don't get it all done.

If you are a rescue in need of crates and other supplies let us know and we will share what is available as we work.

We have 2 love seats, some chairs, a kitchen table and chairs, metal rolling desk/locker/drawer set, TVs and other items too.

I have an exciting announcement!!!!

Damage Control and Restoration, our friend Carmen Sigler Benson donated the much needed transportation vehicle we needed.

I almost cried when she told me and I brought her home this weekend.

We haven't given her a name yet but she met Big Red, experienced transport beast and they are going to be best friends. Lucky for us she gets along with other vans. :)

She also transported Sterling to the sanctuary so she is already on the job of getting homeless pets to safety.

We could still use a smaller vehicle for local transports and for situations where we aren't loading a lot of supplies.
