Another example of why Healing Touch for Animals and the animal chiropractor can help with our animal friends. A friend called me to look at her year old puppy that was not tracking correctly with her walk. She was definitely off on the right side. When I saw her, the first think I wondered was if she was playing with another dog and was injured or if she fell. The only thing the guardian could think of was that as a puppy she wiggled off a tall cart and jumped down. Since our job is to address the energy system, we must open, balance and anchor the energy system. I assessed her energetic body and her Hara Line was off her body to the left. After about 40 minutes of fixing her Hara Line she took several deep breaths and was obviously more comfortable. We then used a red light on her right shoulder to support the blood flow that the HTA techniques had started. After that, some range of motion exercises and a recommendation to my favorite canine chiropractor. Happy to report the puppy is moving better. She will need some ongoing care, but we are on the way to better movement. This session is also a reminder of how we fit into the animal therapies. Since I am not a vet or a chiropractor, I do my part and refer to the next professional that can help. Sign up for an HTA class in Tennessee and learn what it is all about. EARLY REGISTRATION HAS BEEN EXTENDED UNTIL JULY 30TH. Save some dollars by signing up early for the August class. This is the only Level 1 in Tennessee for the rest of the year. I know I have been posting the Healing Touch for Animals® (HTA) class info in Knoxville that is coming up in August. I just want to share 2 experiences that have happened these last several months that tell you why that I think this work is so valuable:

1. I very recently worked with a rescued cat that was almost ready to leave this world. He was receiving veterinary care and they were doing everything possible to keep him here. My friend asked me to work with him. HTA is about getting the energy system in balance and anchoring it in, to help the body heal. This cat was about to be given humane euthanasia because of his deterioration. My friend loved this cat, which was one reason for him to stay. I worked with him using HTA techniques and my only expectation for him was of helping him to feel better and ease his transition. The next day my friend called to tell me he had improved enough to call off the euthanasia for the moment. Well, he is still here. He is happy and loved and will be here as long as he has quality of life, for however long that may be. This is the power of your energetic body healing your physical body.

2. A friend I know has been recently admitted to the hospital and is very, very sick. Her dog had to be boarded while she is in the hospital. He is not doing well, and did not understand what has happened to him. He has been confused, upset and a little bit aggressive. The boarding facility has been great with him, but he is struggling. I was called by a friend a few days ago to work with him. When I did, I found his Hara Line to be compromised. I worked on him from a distance with Hara Repair and Balance. Today our mutual friend texted and said he was doing much better and they were able to get him our for a walk and play with him.

I am telling you this, because this is the power of the HTA techniques to help your animals when they need it. Ask any HTA practitioner and will tell you this work will change their life.

Love the animals, love the plants, love everything. If you love everything, you will perceive the divine mystery in things. Once you perceive it, you will begin to comprehend it better every day. And you will come at last to love the whole world with an all-embracing love.

Do you know why insects cluster at lights?

I learned from a fascinating article in The Week May 19 issue that, "researchers at Imperial College London say that, in fact, bugs don't fly toward the lights on purpose, reports New Scientist. Instead, any bug that happens to wander near a nightlight gets trapped there because of the way insect brains use light to orient themselves. To reach this conclusion, the researchers used high-speed cameras to film dragonflies, butterflies, and moths flying around light bulbs. They noticed that when the insects flew over a light, they would turn upside down and fall; when they flew underneath one, they would begin looping up and over it; and when they approached from the side, they would fall into an orbit. In each case, the insects were trying to keep their backs aimed toward the light. That's because, the researchers say, insects always keep their backs to the sun during the day, a quirk known as the 'dorsal light response,' which helps them stay level as they fly. The nighttime light is hijacking that response. The findings could help urban planners find ways to light outdoor spaces that don't harm insects."

See what you observe and also communicate with insects about it and see how they feel.

By measuring the electrical fields near swarming honeybees, researchers have discovered that insects can produce as much atmospheric electric charge as a thunderstorm cloud. This type of electricity helps shape weather events, aids insects in finding food, and lifts spiders up in the air to migrate....

It seems that the procedure of declawing is not widely talked about. Most of us know that means a cat doesn't have their claws, and then we move on. But what if we pause for a second and actually take a look at declawing. Maybe your opinion on it will change.

Declawing a cat is the equivalent of cutting a humans fingertips off at the first knuckle. The declawing procedure is painful for animals, as most of the time it is not a clean cut. Sometimes they take too much of the bone, sometime they don't take enough of the bone. Bone spurs, calcium build up and arthritis can form as they age, causing pain. When they wake up, they are in pain, since you just had the vet mutate each one of their fingers, and they HAVE to walk around on those paws for the rest of their lives. A vet once told me "You know how you feel when you're walking around with a pebble in your shoe all day? That's what a declawed cat feels like for the rest of their lives." Cats hide pain and illness very well, it's part of their survival tactic in the wild, so you won't even know they're in pain until it's so bad they can't hide it anymore, and that's when most people with declawed cats start to see behavorial issues. Not using the litterbox (because the litter will hurt their paws), not jumping up on things or being able to jump down from things (because their paws hurt) or acting out towards their humans (become aggressive because being touched hurts them.) To be blunt- declawing is extremely painful and an inhumane procedure.

Most of the time, when I talk to people about the dangers of declawing, they say to me "Oh my goodness, why didn't my vet ever tell me this?! They told me it was just like clipping your fingernails and that it isn't painful!" And we agree. Vets should be educating owners before they do the procedure. Some vets have actually opted out of doing the procedures completely because it's inhumane. Some vets will only do it when its medically necessary (like a cat who's claw has grown incorrectly or had an accident and the claw is beyond repair.) Before COVID, michigan had a Bill that was approved and was in the next stages of becoming a law that was going to outlaw declawing in our state. But sadly, due to COVID, that bill is on hold... and who knows for how long. So, we want to educate as many people as we can on the dangers of declawing, and what you can do instead!!

There are MANY alternatives to declawing, and I actually spent a LOT of time building a whole page on our website all about what to do instead! Nail caps and scratching posts are a saving grace, and your cat can be trained to use the scratching posts instead of your furniture (yes EVERY cat is trainable in this! As long as you train them correctly! If my special needs cat can learn, so can yours! It's on YOU to use the correct training tactics! Don't worry- I explain how on the website!!) Check out this link to see my guide on declawing alternatives! And thank you for not declawing your cat!!

"Heads Up Pet Parents if You're Feeding Your Pets Store-bought Jerky Treats!!⚠️

( )

A new veterinary study published in the journal of Tierärztliche Praxis found that dogs are still developing a kidney disorder called Fanconi-like syndrome when fed pet jerky treats.

Fanconi is a disorder of kidney function that results in excess excretion of glucose, electrolytes and amino acids in urine. Signs of the illness included decreased appetite, lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea, polydipsia and polyuria.

This new study isn't actually new news to veterinarians, in 2007, veterinarians became aware of Fanconi-like signs in multiple other dog breeds without a recognized genetic predisposition, and alerted the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, prompting an investigation. The chief suspect then was found to be commercial jerky treats.

As of today, the FDA has received approximately 5,200 complaints of illnesses associated with consumption of chicken🍗, duck🦆, or sweet potato🍠 jerky treats. The reports involve more than 6,200 dogs, 26 cats, three people, and include more than 1,140 canine deaths." - Rodney Habib

If you want to learn more about potentially dangerous pet treats, and/or ingredients you should look out for when purchasing pet food (as well as all the DIY real food snacks your dogs will love), our new book called The Forever Dog is packed with surprising new science that will help your dog live healthier, happier, and longer. The book is set to hit store shelves soon! You can reserve your copy here: https://foreverdog.com/dog-longevity-health-and-nutrition-book/

Frequency of love

LOVE: Vibration

In its essence,
Love is a Frequency, a Vibration,
it has an invisible component of Hertz (or cycles per second)
Even a "Thought" is a vibration,
so too is the palpitation of your Heart when you see someone you Love,
it has a mathematical underpinning
and a rich tapestry of numerical and toroidal symmetries.
Our Field is a Torus which literally means a Ring.
When we hug another, the information in our joined Field is shared, and without words, we communicate between these rings via touch, sound and smell but on a higher level, we are mystically conversing via the amperage and volts of the intuitive Higher Heart.

“Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.”

“My work with animals is not what I do for a living, it is who I am” ……. Pamela Stanner

My husband, Barry, and I live in Lenoir City (near Knoxville) in beautiful East Tennessee, with our three Vizsla dogs Parker, Reign, and Katie and our Paso Fino horse, Merlin.

After graduating from Transylvania University in Kentucky where I received my B.A. in premed/biology, I attended the University of Tennessee, Memphis, and graduated with High Honors and a B.S. in Dental Hygiene. I have worked as a Dental Hygienist since graduating, and although I am now part time, I still love it to this day.

I have always wanted to work with animals and after certification in Equissage Equine and Canine Sports Massage Therapy in 2011, I opened Animal Massage Central with a friend. She has since retired but I have continued under my new name Cherokee Moon Healing Arts for Animals.
