Due to the high volume of questions and comments on our page, we ask that you contact our facility at 828-572-4535, for assistance. Our amazing staff is prepared to help with pre-screens, adoptions, rabies vaccinations, surrenders, or any enforcement concerns. All lost furry friends in our care are placed on a 96 hour hold, to allow the owner proper time to locate them. We envision the day when Ca

ldwell County citizens will no longer be subjected to the dangers and nuisances from irresponsible pet ownership; our animals will no longer suffer from abuse or neglect; and every pet will be assured a loving Fur~Ever home. TOMORROW is the day!! We are so excited it is finally here! Our 2nd Annual Fur Festival is tomorrow from 9am to 4pm at our facility located at 180 Government Way in Lenoir NC!

We are so excited that we are only 2 weeks away from our 2nd Annual Fur Festival! We have some amazing vendors coming to set up as well as games, music and more! BUT lets not forget the most exciting part, which is the main reason for the festival, we will be having reduced adoptions that day to help find our sweet animals their forever home!

Let me introduce to you this adorable liter of pups that were born here so we have had the wonderful privilege of raising, Rhode, Triton, Delta, Lake, River, Atlas and Irene. They are 2 month old Medium Mix breeds that are patiently waiting for their forever homes! Each puppy has their own personality and of course an extreme level of cuteness!

Not every day do you see a Bald Eagle perched on a limb in Caldwell County. This eagle displayed power, freedom, and independence while hanging out on the Yadkin River. One of our enforcement officers took this short video in the Happy Valley area while he was on a call. “Freedom lies in being bold.” -Robert Frost

We don't just help dogs, cats and other domestic animals. We rescued this sweet hummingbird after he found himself inside a residence today. He was happy to be back in the wild after his short stint inside.
