I earned a bachelors degree in the science of health and wellness, but there was nothing out there that was really appealing to me. I needed to find a new path. I knew this new path would need to be something that I love doing, would keep me busy, be challenging, rewarding, and give me a sense of pride. My love for animals has always been deeply rooted within me, hence my rescuing of stray dogs fr

om other countries, while in the military. I’m not really sure when becoming a groomer clicked, but once it did, there was no doubt in my mind that this is what I wanted to do. I learned everything I could, I set myself up with a certified trainer, learned about different breeds, temperaments, coats, nails, ears, teeth, health conditions, and more. The more I learned, the more I knew this is what I wanted to do. I am so happy with this decision and I can’t wait to serve, even though in a very different capacity.

Christmas photos have started! A customer had a great point, they love the Christmas photos, but their dog would not be in until after Christmas, the same goes for many. So, even though I promised not to decorate the house early for Christmas this year, I can scratch the itch with my pictures. I don’t post all of the dogs I groom, so make sure if you want your pup’s picture posted, you let me know at the time of the appointment. ❤️🐾🎄

Pepper is absolutely full of pepper, but he means well and is actually a total sweetheart. Grooming equipment scares him, and that is totally understandable for some. He is lovely!❤️🐾

Sweet Bailey-Bear, I absolutely adore him! ❤️🐾

Mr. Scooter, probably one of the toughest grooms I do, but we somehow get through it every time. He clings to his owners at drop off and shakes like he is about to meet his fate. When it is all over, he is the most fun loving, sweet boy. The drama!😂❤️

Good thing I’m not a trainer. Scout might not have a ton of discipline, but she sure does have fun and we love her!

Beau

The hardest part of being a groomer is losing a pet that works their way into your heart and becomes extended family. I have had Beau as a customer since I opened and I will miss him dearly. Beau was a charismatic, charming, handsome and fun loving boy. Fly high in the clouds Beau, watch over your best bud down here on earth, she will need your comfort and loving spirit.

This was Shirley’s first groom ever, she is absolutely lovely. What a sweet girl, with a sweet disposition! ❤️

Vacation was absolutely wonderful, but it is so nice being back to all the wagging tails! These three sisters are always a delight to have, Millie, Cocoa and Biscuit. ❤️

Tank had his first grooming with me and did great! He’s precious! ❤️

Do groomers get dogs they cannot perform every task on? Yes, we do. Phyllis here, yes, that is her name and I love it! She has a hypersensitive response to getting her nails trimmed. A dog with a response like this would be referred to a multiple groomer location, or a veterinarian for further evaluation of how to handle the situation. If you’re wondering why she is elevated above the table, that is a safe hammock, designed specifically for smaller dogs that have difficulty with their paws and nails. This hammock keeps them safer than having them loose on the table and risking them flying off with the grooming loop around their neck. At the end of the day, my goal is to make sure all dogs are safe, happy and returned to their owners without trauma. I did not continue on Phyllis’s nails, but I was able to accomplish a bath and blow dry with no problems. She’s a clean, happy and most importantly, safe pup! Seriously though, she’s absolutely adorable….when you’re not trimming her nails. 😉😂❤️ ***Video posted for educational purposes only.***
