Levelland Animal Friends We are a group of caring folks who are trying to make a difference in Levelland pets' lives. **We are not the Levelland Animal Shelter.

We are a non-profit (501c3) organization. In 2014, Levelland Animal Friends was begun as a group of volunteers trying to make a difference in the life of shelter pets, abandoned and abused animals, and strays in our community. We volunteered at the Levelland Animal Shelter for many years trying to make the lives of the 'kids' a little bit easier by showing them love and compassion. We diligently n

etworked these pets trying to find them forever homes and/or foster homes. Our primary mission changed in 2025 to focus more on spay and neuter education and helping the community in funding their pets' spay and neuter surgeries if assistance is needed. We also are focused more on helping pets in our community. Our biggest hope is that in the current pet overpopulation crisis , we will be able to educate the public on the responsibility of pet ownership, the need for all pets to be spayed and neutered, and to end backyard breeding which is one of the main culprits in the population explosion of all shelters and rescues across our country. Our dream is to see all pets in forever, loving homes - no pet needs to be abandoned, abused or neglected. We plan on working toward our goal of seeing all pets cared for and loved!

This sweet, senior pittie mix, is one of the awesome dogs waiting for his forever home from M&M Rescue. We are doing our best to help their rescue since they have to close their doors.
Bearcat is a senior, male who is dog-friendly 🐾. He is an absolutely cool guy! He would be a perfect walking partner and would make an amazing companion. This guy deserves a loving home where he can relax and enjoy the golden years of his life. He is one of the longest stays.

This is BLANCA ! She is a gorgeous Labrador Retriever and possibly Heeler mix. She weighs 65 lbs and is about 1 1/2 years old. She was taken in as a stray in a small rural town close to Levelland and it turned out, she blessed the foster family with 11 sweet puppies. This family is rescued, but LAF is helping to look for a furever home for BLANCA. She is an amazing, sweet dog that knows the "sit" command and absolutely loves to play fetch and catch (check out the videos in the comments)! She is spayed...so no more puppies for this girl. She is up to date on her vaccines (DAPP, Bordetella and Rabies) and microchipped. We are asking an adoption fee of $100 to help cover her veterinary expenses. He came into the shelter as a stray and no one has come to claim him so he is available for adoption now. This is JUNE! She is an about 1-2 year old Blue Heeler/Border Collie mix female that is available for adoption at the Levelland Animal Shelter. She was surrendered (along with her puppies, PLUM, PUDDING and CAPUCCINO and her friend JOHNNY) to the shelter by her owners for reasons unknown to us. This is JOHNNY ! He is an about 1-2 year old Dachshund mix male that is available for adoption at the Levelland Animal Shelter. He was surrendered to the shelter (along with his friend, JUNE and their puppies, PLUM, PUDDING, and CAPUCCINO) by his owners for reasons unknown to us. This is WICKED !! He is available for adoption at The Levelland Animal Shelter. He was surrendered by his owner for reasons unknown to us. He is neutered and declawed. Since he is declawed, it would be best that he live inside and not be allowed to go outside and wander. According to the shelter, he does not like dogs. Also, the shelter has not given us an estimated age on this sweet kitty.
