We are a group of volunteers who are trying to make a difference in Levelland shelter pets lives. **We are not the Levelland Animal Shelter.

Levelland Animal Friends is a group of volunteers who are trying to make a difference in the life of shelter pets, abandoned and abused animals, and strays in our community. We volunteer at the Levelland Animal Shelter trying to make the lives of the 'kids' a little bit easier by showing them love and compassion. We diligently network these pets trying to find them forever homes and/or foster home

s. We a non-profit (501c3) organization. As volunteers, we currently provide medical care for the pets as needed, and help with the cost of spay and neuter of these pets as we can. It is our hope, that in the near future we can achieve a full 100% adoption rate at our shelter. Our biggest hope is that in the not too distant future, we will be able to educate the public on the responsibility of pet ownership, the need for all pets to be spayed and neutered, and to end backyard breeding which is the main culprit in the population explosion of all shelters across our country. Our dream is to see all pets in forever, loving homes - no pet needs to be abandoned, abused or neglected. We plan on working toward our goal of seeing all pets cared for and loved!

This is WHITNEY! (Shelter #01021). She is an about 3 year old Heeler mix female that is available for adoption on 1-25-25 at the Levelland Animal Shelter. She was found as a stray, but no one has come forward to claim her so far. She is a very sweet dog that walks fairly well on leash...she is still a little bit shy while she's getting used to being in the shelter. This is MIKE !! (Shelter #01007). MIKE is an about 2-3 year old Pitbull, possibly bully mix male. He came into the shelter as a stray with his buddy, MAGNUS, and have not been reclaimed by an owner so they are now looking for a furever home. They do great together and its obvious they have been buddies for a while ! MIKE is a large dog, weighing in at about 80 lbs. He would make a great movie binge watching or walking buddy ! This is MAGNUS (Shelter # 01006) ! (Shelter #01007). MAGNUS is an about 2-3 year old bully male. He came into the shelter as a strays with his buddy, MIKE, and have not been reclaimed by an owner so they are now looking for a furever home. They do great together and its obvious they have been buddies for a while ! MAGNUS is a big dog, weighing in at about 110 to 120 lbs. He would make a great movie binge watching or walking buddy ! COURTESY POST for a friend of Levelland Animal Friends:
This is BIG HUNK !! He is an about 3 year old Cheweenie (Chihuahua/Dachshund mix) male that is looking for a new home. He has a gorgeous white coat and one brown eye and one blue eye. He is already neutered and up to date on vaccinations. He is bossy with the other dogs in the home and his owner is trying to find him a home of his own. He probably would be best in a home without other dogs. He's a very sweet dog with us humans and loves to be rocked like a baby and cuddled. He originally came from a hoarding situation, so that may explain some of his behaviors around other dogs.
