We are a group of volunteers who are trying to make a difference in Levelland shelter pets lives. **We are not the Levelland Animal Shelter.

Levelland Animal Friends is a group of volunteers who are trying to make a difference in the life of shelter pets, abandoned and abused animals, and strays in our community. We volunteer at the Levelland Animal Shelter trying to make the lives of the 'kids' a little bit easier by showing them love and compassion. We diligently network these pets trying to find them forever homes and/or foster home

s. We a non-profit (501c3) organization. As volunteers, we currently provide medical care for the pets as needed, and help with the cost of spay and neuter of these pets as we can. It is our hope, that in the near future we can achieve a full 100% adoption rate at our shelter. Our biggest hope is that in the not too distant future, we will be able to educate the public on the responsibility of pet ownership, the need for all pets to be spayed and neutered, and to end backyard breeding which is the main culprit in the population explosion of all shelters across our country. Our dream is to see all pets in forever, loving homes - no pet needs to be abandoned, abused or neglected. We plan on working toward our goal of seeing all pets cared for and loved!

This is REECE ! (Shelter #10049). He is an about 10 to 12 months old possibly Lab or Weimaraner mix male that is available for adoption at the Levelland Animal Shelter. He was surrendered by his owner along with his sister, UNO, for reasons unknown to us. He is a very sweet dog, but still shy and trying to figure out shelter life. With a little patience and encouragement he could be a great companion. He would make a great movie binge watching or eventually a great walking buddy ! This is UNO ! (Shelter #10050). She is an about 10-12 month old Lab or Weimaraner mix female that is available for adoption at the Levelland Animal Shelter. UNO was surrendered by her owner along with her brother, REECE, for reasons unknown to us. She is a very beautiful, sweet girl and she weighs about 45-50 lbs. She is still pretty shy and unsure of what shelter life is all about. With some encouragement and patience, she will be a lovely companion. He came into the shelter as a stray (with his friend, COSMO) and no one has come to claim him so he sure needs a good home ! He is a very sweet dog....and loves everyone ! UPDATE! Adopted on 10-24-24 !! Yay !

This is KIA ! (Shelter #10042). She is an about 6 weeks old Anatolian Shepherd mix female that is available for adoption at the Levelland Animal Shelter. She was surrendered to the shelter by her owners for reasons unknown to us. She would make a great movie binge watching or walking buddy ! She is very sweet and has dew claws on her back legs typical of an Anatolian breed, but she most likely will be more on the medium size based on her how big she is now at 6 weeks of age. She has her first Parvo combo vaccine (DAPP) courtesy of Levelland Animal Friends. This is MALLORY ! (Shelter #09022). She is an about 2-3 year old Staffordshire Terrier mix female that is available for adoption at the Levelland Animal Shelter. She is a pocket size Staffie....she weighs about 30 lbs. MALLORY was pregnant and had 5 puppies that sadly passed away within a week after they were born. She was found as a stray and no one has come forward to claim her. She is a bit shy and confused when she first came into the shelter, but she is now doing very well and likes everyone she meets now. She walks well on leash. MALLORY has been through alot and really needs a hero...please think about giving her a furever home ! COTTON was adopted last week (10-14-24) ! Yay ! His adopter reached out on another post to let folks know ! The shelter refused to tell us what happened to him. Why wouldn’t the shelter want to celebrate this success ?? Well…we volunteers are celebrating !! 🎉 ❤️❤️🎊
