It happens once in a while! We're looking for a new Family for Reba.

She has a juvenile cataract which although rare isn't something to take a chance on passing down to offspring. So she will be spayed. She's clear on all other health testing through Paw Print Genetics.

Except 2023 when I was picking up piles 💩 Nov 13th had been a bad day to be a duck. Nov 11th was not good either!

Although 1 guy called it " the most frustrating day of duck hunting, ever"

We had a very good Hunt Test year here at BCR!

We're very blessed to be on the team at Flatlander Kennels, Inc . Chris Jobman is a true professional with years and years of experience. Handling many different types and breeds of retrievers. Chesapeake Bay , Flat coat, Golden and the best Labrador retrievers. Dogs with high drive to those that aren't so much. His talent is identifying what the dog needs and the skill to apply it.

Chris went to the HRC International Grand in St. Louis recently but was 🍑 less. Not speechless 😶! If you know Chris you know what I mean!
Chris did pass a BCR puppy HRCH The Preacher on Abby Road MH, our first to pass the Grand . Congratulations to Chris Tracy and thanks for trusting the process! Congratulations to all the others that passed as well. It was a bunch.

Hopefully the other 2 BCR puppies will be back!

Peach and Chris passed the Spring Grand in Omaha GA to start our year off. We had hoped that they would team up again in St Louis , but it was not to be. Did you hear??? Peach was in heat ;)

Peach and I had a pretty good year going 8/9 and traveled to see old friends at some clubs we hadn't been to in a while. It was a lot of fun!
I was asked on several occasions why I wasn't going to run the Grand myself. I plan too one of these days as I have wanted to for a while now. But, I want to stack the odds in her favor. Chris running her vastly improves those odds!

Chris and I discuss our breedings to produce great pups. Many of those pairing are repeated after getting them back into training at FLK.

We would really love to see pups from our upcoming breeding between 4XGRHRCH Maverick MH MNH HOF & HRCH Peach MH Come in.

Who needs a duck dog ? She's a finished retriever.
Steady to shot , delivers to hand , marks extremely well and runs blind retrieves 200+

Just opened our Nebraska Duck Season picking up a limit. Last week it was the South Dakota Pheasant opener.

Quite, clean and sweet! 60lbs of team player !

She qualified for 2023 Master National and if you want a turn key competitor give me a call!

Well it's been a suspense filled week here at BCR! Checking score reports for updates and crossing our fingers for dogs and handlers a like.

Some are good friends with dogs in the Superbowl of dog games and some are owners of puppies bred right here like Grant Edgecombe .

BCRRRRRRR. Had 3 puppies bred here playing at the highest level in the Hunt Test game! Rip, Axle and Preacher. All three I'm sure will make more appearances. Hat's of to Jeff Meyer for running his own dog Axle.

Congratulations to Chris Tracy and Preacher on your success and trusting in the process! We did what we could to set you up for success and you ran with it! Sochi even chipped in!

I haven't seen the final score report but I trust that a bunch of dogs Handled by Chris Jobman will make this Grand one of his Best! It will mean many BCR puppies out there will have even better pedigrees.

We were rooting for a lot of them! Actually all of them!

Now happy hunting!

Justin and Goose with Sandhills Crane and pile in Canada! They stopped in Montana for the upland birds and apparently there's some point in the pedigree somewhere. Nice job boys!
