Pig Rescue’s, Farm sanctuaries I really need a new list of all of the places in Tennessee. Currently there are two pigs that have been dumped in Lebanon Tennessee. My list contains many sanctuaries and rescues that apparently are closing.please help me form a new list. And if you can help with these two pigs, please let me know. The Tennessee Department of AG has reached out to me.

Meet Ozzy
I rescued him, his siblings and his mom when i lived in GA.
Found mom first on my way to work. I knew she had babies somewhere. It was fate for me to find them, as a client at work knew exactly what dog i was speaking of and told me where to go look for her. I did just that. Found her but was a good week or so before i found her babies. Ozzy here remained with us while the others were adopted out.
Ozzy has developed a mass near his a**l area. After seeing a vet we determind its best to have it removed and then biopsied
This surgery is scheduled for next friday and will cost approximately $600.

* for anyone who is going to question his muzzle since he was little, he has had a scared aggression and does not do very well with people he doesn’t know so this is for his protection and the protection of others however, he had the best vet visit he has ever had and the muzzle was able to come off. he did fantastic❤️

You dont have to agree but try to understand
We have set up at all kinds of events and some we dont even get photos of and im also terrible with posting:
The strawberry festival
The homestead festival
Fairs and Festival
Arts and craft shows
And yes BBQ festivals
WHY?
We cant change the world. We cant change everyones mind but i may be able to change a few
It doesnt matter where we are, Where we go There are always BBQ trucks. People who sell meats of different sorts
People eat meat, people raise their own animals for slaughter, people abuse and neglect their animals. People who just have to make those annoying comments to let us know
But some people also love their animals, want animals for pets, want to have a little farm and some want education
Some have never even touched a pig before
And do you know how many people ask about those teacup, micro pigs that stay small?

What we can do is
Spread awareness, educate
People often ask what are you saving pigs from?
Why do pigs need saving?
I grew up eating pork. I thought it would be hard to stop
But it wasnt!!
We know where it comes from but do not think about it when eating
We dont really know what goes on behind the scenes

I didnt know anything about pigs when i got my first 2. I did no reading had no education but i fell in love
I didnt know pig rescue was a thing
I didnt know the lives they live before being slaughtered

Now i can share that with others. You dont know what you dont know
People are in AW when they hear of these things

We were at a fair where they had a mama pig and her babies and mama was in that pen that she could only stand up and lay down
They thought it was the cutest thing but People had no idea that is her life 24/7
We are able to educate people.

If you remember i was forced to either tag our animals that go in public or stop taking them. i chose to go ahead and tag the animals we take in public not because i wanted to but Because without people seeing first hand and giving us the opportunity to engage and speak about these things they would still be uneducated

We just might be able to make a change in someones life while saving others
That is my hope

And you wouldnt believe the amount of support we also get at all of these events
The $ we raise and the donations we recieve
Yes we sell cotton candy and we still educate in doing so
And all proceeds raised go to the rescue!
It helps tremendously with expenses since we dont get alot of donations any other way

All of which benefit the animals here!
This is why we do what we do

Cooler weather is coming be prepared. Straw will reflect body heat back to a cat and actually repels moisture. Straw is tough, thick, dry leftover stalks from crops. It's lightweight and golden in color. Straw has a hollow center which makes for great insulation (just like double pane windows).

Do NOT use hay (OR blankets) for bedding in outdoor cat shelters. Hay is green and heavy. Hay is typically used to feed animals, like horses. It absorbs moisture, making it damp, cold and uncomfortable for cats, and has the potential to get moldy.

You can buy straw bales at your local co-op, farm/ag supply stores, local garden center/nursery, Home Depot, Lowe's, Tractor Supply or Ace Hardware. We’ve even seen bales of straw being sold outside grocery stores along with pumpkins. Farms selling pumpkins often sell bales of straw too.

Don’t need a whole bale? Perfect time of year to go by Walmart, JoAnns, Micheals etc. for their small decorative bales. They should be on clearance for a couple dollars.
