Good evening, this announcement is to all of my followers, current & past clients and friends!
Over the last few months I have found myself questioning why I go to bed at night wondering why I do what I do with MABK9, I know that I don’t owe anyone an explanation because most of you that have been around from the start know exactly why I have done this for the last 4 years.
The reason MABK9 was started was my passion for dogs, my passion for training them to their full potential and my passion to give back to my community which started immediately after I graduated high school. From the time I graduated high school I have been involved with emergency services starting with being a firefighter at Fairlea Volunteer Fire Department and then my time at WSSEMS until I made the decision to pursue my law enforcement career with Alderson police department where I was given the opportunity to fulfill on of my absolute most significant dream of being a K9 handler.
During my time at Alderson Pd, Fairlea Fire & WSSEMS I had the opportunity of looking up to many great people (you know who you are) and I learned a lot of valuable lessons, life skills, job skills and developed a set of ethics that I will carry for the rest of my life and have lived and operated MABK9 by them for the duration of my time.
While in business, I have accomplished many great achievements and given back at every possible opportunity I had including little league teams, non profit organizations, fundraisers, individuals, departments and k9 teams across the state and in our local community as well as going into the schools on my own time and dollar to perform narcotic sweeps to try and make a difference in kids lives and wellbeing’s. I have also tried to bargain with the county school board to gain contracts to provide dogs for each school on a daily basis to ensure safety against narcotics, explosives, fi****ms, active shooters and ni****ne and cannabis vapes that were never pushed into a priority or further consideration because they spent too much money on the electronic system that is in place now.
But that’s beside the point of this post!
As of Today, January 3rd, 2024 I have decided to step away from MABK9 and focus my efforts and attention towards some other things that are important to me because it seems like I’ve lost support from this community (minus a select few of you who help contribute to my business, social platforms and causes), county government and departments as a whole. I have tried, I have tried to bargain with the county for over a year for approval to run my business at my home where it’s accommodating to my situation, I have tried to make the schools a safer environment, I have tried to bring everyone a local place to buy pet supplies instead of chain stores and Amazon at reasonable prices, I have tried bringing everyone affordable dog training but I can’t keep going to bed and waking up investing my 100% and only receiving 25% in return. It’s time for me to move on to things that I know will be worth the investment of my time, money and energy! I will be finishing out the fundraising side of things to provide a service dog for Preston Barnes through the end under MABK9 but that will be my final priority as MABK9.
I also will be keeping my Dakota 283 Kennel Dealer status and wholesale accounts until I decide what the next chapter may bring but for now the website is closed and everything for sale will be listed directly on the business page and my personal page.
I want to thank each and every one of you that have supported me and MABK9 throughout the last 4 years, I couldn’t have done it without you!
Over the next little bit I will be posting some inventory, equipment etc. it will be priced to sell but not free so keep your eyes open!
