Daisy & Moccasin are beautiful, 10 year old, Siamese girls. Their owner went into a care facility and they are looking for a new home. They have always been together so we would like them to to stay together. They have been around small dogs and respectful kids. We don't know about other cats. Lily is a beautiful, almost one year old, girl! We got her from someone that was threatening to kill her!! When she had her vet visit they discovered she had a mouthful of bad teeth. She lost 12 of them! Lily loves belly and chin rubs. Her favorite toy is a crumpled piece of paper. She likes being near her people or looking out the window at the world. When she's happy she'll purr and chirp. Her foster home has other cats, dogs and kids. She is good with all. This girl would be a great addition to any family! Lily is spayed and vaccinated. These 2 newborn babies need someone to bottle feed them. They were found laying in the sun today and no mamma around. Can anyone help them. Our fosters are full to the brim with cats/kittens. ALL ADOPTED!! These beautiful puppies are goldendoodles. Mom was a standard poodle and dad was a golden retriever. The pups were born 3/20. All are very friendly and social. 3 females and 1 male (darker). Goldendoodles require regularly scheduled grooming and daily brushing. They are high maintenance dogs. Little Ritz finally went to his home on Saturday. He is the kitten with Panleukopenia that spent one week at WSU Veterinary Hospital's ICU. Ritz fell out of a car at Ritz Car Wash. He's a feisty little guy that is now thriving and is a little terror. He's still only 1.5 lbs. at 10 weeks old, but is gaining. Thank you Carltons for adopting him and giving him the home he deserves!! Hope you can keep up with him!!
Timber is a very sweet and smart, 2 year old, German shepherd. She was surrendered to us because her owner is too ill to care for her any longer. She is well behaved and comes immediately to her name. She loves to swim, chase her ball and mostly will bring it back! She loves to play, but it needs to be another dog that is similar in size and play style. She grew up with another dog and 2 cats. We don't know about kids. Timber would benefit from more training, advanced obedience training or agility training. Timber has been well loved and well cared for. She is spayed, vaccinated, house & kennel trained. These two beautiful black cats (we think mamma and older baby) were found Friday night in this crate around Motel 6 in Clarkston. They are healthy and very friendly. Loki is a 5 year old husky mix. He's a big boy at 85 lbs. He is amazing with kids and other dogs. He'll chase a cat, but won't harm them. Loki is a friendly boy and will roll on his back to meet new people. He loves to play ball, knows his basic commands and is good on walks. He'll bark to let you know someone is coming to the house. ADOPTED! Trey is a healthy senior Yorkie mix. He's 14 years old and weighs about 15 lbs. His owner passed away and he was surrendered to us. ADOPTED! Perogi ( polish dumpling) is a very handsome, 1.5 year old (2 in October), German shepherd who is looking for his forever family. Medical circumstances of his family caused them to find him a new home. He loves to play ball, roll in the grass, and lay by the feet of his people. As you can see from the one picture, he's OK with cats and other dogs. Maybe older children. He comes with his favorite toys and crate. Pierogi doesn't mind the crate and likes to rest in it with the door open. His foster family took Pierogi in the car to a park, and he enjoyed seeing and smelling new things! We're not sure how old Sassy is, maybe 5-7 years old. She was abandoned by her people when they moved. The neighbors fed her and cared for her the best the could until she was hit by a car. We took her into the vet and her one rear leg needed to be amputated. That definitely did not slow her down! Sassy is a sweet girl with lots of energy! She is a love bug. She'll go after squirrels and tennis balls. She's good at letting you know when someone or something is close by. She likes her walks, thoroughly enjoys being brushed and seems to have her basic manners down. She's good with dogs, cats and kids. She likes her kennel to retreat to but is very comfortable just hanging in the house or yard. Sassy is spayed, vaccinated and house trained. KITTENS, KITTENS, KITTENS! We are overwhelmed which is usual for this time of year. Our fosters are full or burned out! We take in as many as we can and too many for our budget. This week we adopted 15 and took in 24. We never get ahead! Last year we averaged 100 kittens in 24 foster homes. We're headed that way this year!
I saw a post today and in the comments a couple of people were expressing their displeasure with our rescue for not getting back to them in a timely manner. Maybe try calling again before throwing us under the bus on FB? There are days that we get 20-30 phone calls, 10-15 FB messages, emails and most of them are people wanting to surrender animals. Please remember - we are all volunteers.
We need more fosters and, unfortunately, we need more money in our account! Kittens get everything wrong with them - from upper respiratory to Panleukopenia. As we all know, vet care is expensive. Our adoption fee is $75 and this includes vaccinations and spay/neuter so we lose money. If we increase the fee, we are concerned people may not adopt.

Sassy is a sweet girl. She's 1-2 years old and weighs about 40 lbs. We're not sure what her breed is. We were told Mastiff mix, but we don't think so!! Sassy is good with other dogs, is interested in cats and just loves kids. She definitely prefers women. She must have been "mishandled" by a man because she does not like men. She loves her foster mom and is finally accepting her husband. She does not go to him on her own looking for affection. Sassy knows her basic commands. We named this little girl Cindy. She was found injured on a rural road Friday. One of our volunteers took her to the on-call emergency vet (Lewiston Vet Clinic). She has a broken leg, eye trauma and various wounds on her face - lots of swelling. Her eye may need to be removed at a later time. She is now recovering in a foster home and is already purring. Thank you IARN for helping her and getting her to us. She's a tough one!!

This tall, lanky girl, was found in Orofino a few weeks ago and has been held by OPD. Her owner has not come forward. One of our fosters was contacted and we now have her in rescue. We'll get her spayed and vaccinated, then put her up for adoption. She's very sweet and friendly and happy to be out of jail.

This is everyday in rescue! Dog's are euthanized for this behavior and it's usually not their fault. Teach your kids to respect the animals. Start teaching them early! We've had dogs returned because children jumped on them while they were sleeping and the dog reacted. What did they expect!! It just takes some common sense!
This is Yona, the little Pom with deformed hind legs and 2 broken front legs that healed incorrectly. Can you tell?? She is doing so well, getting healthy and gaining strength. She's a sweet little girl with a big personality. She plays well with other small dogs and loves her toys. We are starting to look for her very special forever home. We need fosters to bottle feed kittens. It's quite a commitment but so rewarding! This baby (Loud Larry) was found in a shed filled with trash. He was the only survivor of his litter. We were able to rescue him because we had a dedicated person that was willing to bottle feed him. He's probably 2-3 weeks old. We aren't sure how he survived! There was no mamma cat around. Wednesday is an Anatolian shepherd/great Pyr mix who will be 2 years old in August. She loves her people and is great with other dogs and kids. She cannot be around chickens or cats/kittens. She does have a goat friend at her current home. She is a big girl and needs a large fenced yard and lots of activity. We ended 2021 with these 5 puppies being surrendered to us on 12/31. There is so much help from rescues for puppies and they shouldn't have to endure this treatment! We worry where mom is and how she is living. They were found in a box on the side of a snowy road in the Weippe area. The 6th puppy had a broken leg and is being cared for by a vet clinic. The person surrendering thought they may have just been tossed out of the car! They need a lot of socialization and scream when you try to pick them up. We have no idea on breed, guessing maybe 12-ish weeks old. We are NOT ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS at this time. They are in a loving foster home and are warm and safe. They need to be loved on and learn to trust humans. We're sure their life has not been good up to this point.
ADOPTED! Look how this big boy has grown and matured. This is Yucca, our Parvo puppy (Akita/shepherd mix). He has been through the wringer, but he fought hard and now has a clean bill of health thanks to his care at Riverview Animal Clinic. He is ready for his new home. Yucca is going to be a big boy. He is only 7 months and already weighs 50 lbs. As you can see, he is a smart one (more pictures in comments). Yucca is great with dogs, but much prefers his humans. He will be a shadow to his new person. Maybe older kids as he doesn't yet understand his strength and size. His foster mom says he is exceptional on a leash and loves to ride in the car. He loves his tricks, but does challenge authority with his obedience training, but he will learn! A fenced yard is a must for this boy. Yucca is vaccinated, house trained and kennel trained. Because of his illness he has not yet been neutered. This cost is included in the adoption fee. Chewy is a sweet girl in need of a new home. Her owner was not able to care for her any longer. She is a doxie mix, about 3-4 years old. Chewy is good with other dogs, OK with cats, but can be a bit nippy with younger children. She loves to be with her people, but needs more socialization. Her favorite thing is to sleep under the covers. Chewy is spayed, vaccinated and still working on her house training.
