My morning routine: making the reptile salads! 🙂 we use collard, turnip and mustard greens as the staples of the salad (this week I also added arugula.)

I just found out about the wonder that is a salad chopper!! I can chop the greens down to small pieces, then I put all the chopped greens in a ziplock bag with a paper towel to keep the greens fresh all week (just learned that trick on Pinterest 🙂) this cuts down on my daily prep, and I can simply grab a handful of greens for all the bowls! Each salad gets a dusting of Repashy calcium plus D every other day, and the Repashy Supervite twice a week as a multivitamin. I then sprinkle a little bee pollen or Ferne’s Reptile Toppers to entice the babies to eat their greens! Breakfast is served ❤️

3 new beardie surrenders this evening. The first one is our most critical baby...she is skin and bones, covered in mites (which we have not seen on a bearded dragon until now) and doesn't have one single toenail. She ate 2 super worms and a dubia, has gotten a bath and is laying on my chest sleeping right now. We are going to call this baby Hope... because we are hoping we are not too late to save her. In any case, we are going to give her love and the best shot at life we possibly can. Hope is what we created this rescue for; we want to give all these babies a true shot at living their best life. For everyone that thinks a reptile rescue is silly, just look at Hope and see if you still think reptile rescue isn't needed.

ISO: any tanks (10 gallon and up), rodent cages, reptile lights and accessories you might have taking up space in your home that could be donated for a great cause! We have zero vacant cages right now which means we can't take any new surrenders 🥺 if you have any equipment you would like to donate, we would be happy to take it off your hands and give you a charitable donation receipt 🙂 pic of our beloved beardies Stumpy and Spice for attention.

Our ball python hatchlings we have raised from the incubator to now are healthy little noodles and ready for new 🏠 s. They all eat FANTASTIC on live small mice and all have been handled frequently since birth, so they are easy to pick up and hold ❤️ pm us for more details! Located in Liberty, Mo!

Unfortunately, our second clutch of surprise eggs we had did not fair as well as our first clutch, where we didn't lose any of the babies (who are healthy and ready for adoption!)

We had 6 eggs in this clutch, and none of the eggs survived except one 🫤 I found this little cutie on Saturday in the incubator just chilling (which was about 3 days before we expected pipping!) I don't know if it's a boy or girl yet, but we washed them up and are awaiting their first shed. Their coloring is gorgeous, but we aren't sure of what the morph is, just that momma is a Fire Spider and daddy was a Pastel. I've already started calling it Firefly, because it will work for a boy or girl ❤️🎉

Leo the smiling Leopard gecko has been adopted by this doting mom, Ellayna! I had several inquiries on him after he had already found his new home, so he turned out to be a popular little dude ❤️ his mommy says her dog and Leo like to look at each other through his cage, and her doggy even dropped one of his toys in front of Leo's cage to see if he wanted to play 😍 he has made himself right at home and sounds like he is absolutely loving his new life. And we are so happy this little guy found such a great mama ❤️

I know I always say we had a very special adoption at 3R, but when I say it with this one, it hits differently. The beautiful snake is Diva, and she, putting it mildly, has a strong attitude (code for pretty much hated me and TOLERATED John.) I believe everything happens for a reason, because we knew Diva would have to have a special parent to help tame and calm her down. In steps Trevor Scott, who works at Miles of Exotics, a very popular pet shop in my area that specializes in exotic animals, and he was willing and very able to be Diva's, who will now go by the name Negasonic (if you've seen Deadpool, you know and it is a PERFECT name for her!) new dad. We go to Miles a lot, so we will get to see Trevor and hear updates on our spicy girl, and I can't wait to see the great things he will do with her ❤️🐍

The incubator is unexpectedly full once again at 3R!
These babies are from a Fire Spider (mom) and either a Pastel or Normal daddy (had to check with previous owner on daddy.) When we took Fire Spider (mommy) in almost 4 months ago, we didn't realize she had been bred, so this truly was a surprise! This could be interesting!

Another awesome adoption took place at 3R! Dave the Uromastyx (who is now Uro) and Peter the Peter's Banded Skink found their forever homes with the same awesome dad, Paul Carlisle! They came to me from the same home, so I'm happy they will be staying together, even though they have never met 😁 this man has done everything possible to ensure these two have the best setups and lives possible. I was never able to get Peter to eat for me unassisted, and Paul had him eating on his own after 2 weeks 🥰 they are lucky little guys!

Not gonna lie, I was terrified of Boa Constrictors...until this guy came to our rescue. He is the sweetest, most gentle snake, NEVER lost his temper and just enjoyed being held and loved. I'm so happy my friend, Terri Farley is the proud new mom of this little man. He's in very good hands ❤️

And finally, the conclusion of the hatchlings. Today when we opened the container, they were all out of their eggs and basically dog piled on top of each other 😜. We gave them all baths and they weigh in at around 54 grams on average. They are adorable and all of them are already easy to handle and (so far) none of them have attitudes. We'll see if that changes! Happy Father's Day to their deadbeat snake dad who was adopted and burned out on them a couple months ago 🤣

The beardies have crept upstairs from the reptile rescue and made their home in our living room (I took this pic early this morning, and they were still trying to wake up 😁 They both received new, large condos from dubia.com, they were a great price and I love how classy they look! I'm still working on decor and having a blast getting to decorate these big cages, spoil and have fun with my beardies ❤️❤️! When you're running a rescue, cages have to be very simple, easy to sanitize to keep germs from spreading to a minimum, and are temporary (comfortable, but boring) homes until the reptiles find their forever homes. I'm so glad Stumpy and Spice get to experience living in a forever home now and have not only more space to explore, but have much more interaction with the family 🦎🦎

I love getting photos like this! These beautiful reptiles are both rescues from 3R, Georgia Strait and Maybel. Parker and Nathan (mom and dad) have been such great reptile parents and I was so happy after they got Maybel the ball python, they decided they wanted a bearded dragon and came to us ❤️ thank you, Parker family for giving our foster kids a loving forever home 🐍🦎❤️❤️
