5. Check Expiry Dates: Always use the oldest stock first.
6. Say No to Plastic Containers: Even small scratches can harbor bacteria and accelerate oxidation.

We have always stood by our opinion that grain free foods DO NOT cause heart disease in dogs. There have been NO studies that support this misguided theory that has circulated in the media over the past couple of years.

An article in the AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) Trends Magazine (July 2023) reports that a recent study from Ontario, Canada University of Guelph was performed to study grain free diets high in “pulse ingredients” (lentils, beans, peas, etc.) As the article states: “The research, which appears in The Journal of Nutrition, found that dogs fed diets containing up to 45% whole pulse ingredients and no grains over 20 weeks showed no indications of heart issues. This study is the longest controlled feeding study to date to assess cardiometabolic health in healthy adult dogs fed pulse-inclusive diets”.

Once again, there is no research to support ANY link between a good quality grain free food and heart disease!
