Horses for Heroes - Jessica's Gold Award

The purpose of this page is to let the community know about my Gold Award project which is an Open House on 1/12/13 1:00-4:00 Currently I am in the process of earning The Gold Award - Girl Scout’s highest award. My project involves kick starting Spirit Horse Liberty’s Horses for Heroes therapeutic horse riding lesson program for disabled veterans and other heroes. The program has been established

but is non-functioning. I plan to give several speeches at local veteran’s organizations and host an Open House Meet & Greet for them to view the facilities and animals. My hope is to recruit volunteers to work with the children &heroes as well as get more heroes into the program so they receive the services they need
