We recently had a customer accuse us of some very serious things all over social media. I've struggled with how to address this, sticking with my true beliefs that facts and the truth will always prevail it still always hurts deeply to have false information spread all over the internet when you care so much, and try so hard each day. We take animal abuse and mistreatment very seriously. With that being said, I have choose to post the full report to be completely transparent to our customers so that everyone can see the facts. As a small business owner who tries very hard to uphold standards, the health and safety of our guests, communication, and our reputation it cuts deep and civil action has been filed as we take this very seriously.
Facts from the report;
- Our facility was found to be ABOVE standards, sanitary, very cooperative, and had zero violations during an unannounced inspection.
- The dog the owner claims online her dog was severely emancipated and lost 15 lbs after a 30 day stay with us. Facts show the dog was found to have lost 4 pounds and was in "ideal" body condition as per the vet records upon pickup. The dog was also found to have worms (which could explain her weightloss).
- The owner stated she was never informed the dog had not been eating enough; we provided several text messages & photos showing the owner was thoroughly informed multiple times, and was offered options, which she laughed off.
- The accusation that we would not return the dog was found to be due to the holiday and text messages received at midnight and 4am (no emergency, just owners change of plans to pick up the dog 30 days early).
