We're still accepting birds this season 🎉 Drop off your prized waterfowl and upland birds between 7am and 5pm.

📅 Drop-Off Hours: 7am to 5pm

Preservation Tips:

Handle with Care: Avoid rough handling to prevent damage.

Bag It: Wrap the head and feet with a damp paper towel. Place your bird in a ziploc plastic bag to keep it protected until drop-off.

We're just 10 days away from the start of duck season! Time to secure your spot with your Avian Artist. This fall, we're taking in waterfowl and upland birds, on a first-come, first-served basis. Quality over quantity is our motto. Once we reach our quota, we'll close intake to ensure top-notch quality and a swift turnaround.

We are 24 days away 🙌 let's talk about the best way to store your trophy birds. The best thing to do is always  pick your bird up by cupping the breast area with your hand. PLEASE DO NOT hold birds by the neck. always try to keep mud off of the  feathers as much as possible. Try to keep the feathers as clean as you possibly can. If there are visible clumps of blood, wipe them off with a piece of paper towel  as best you can. THESE STEPS ARE A MUST. When getting home, wrap the head and feet with a damp paper towel. Then, put in a zip lock frezzer bag and try to get as much air out as possible.then, put another zip lock frezzer bag. This will help with frezzer burn and help with it  long-term in the freezer. It's always best to pick a prime mature bird for a quality mount as well.  Not all birds are the same, and some look way better than others. If you are unsure at the time, freeze it, and I can look over it in person. I hope this helps! Good luck this season, and if you have any questions, feel free to give me a call!! The privilege of serving those who have trusted me with their prized hunts has been truly rewarding. As we enter the new hunting season, Final Finish Taxidermy will unfortunately no longer accept mammals, including deer. If you currently have a whitetail with me, please know it will be completed as promised and I will contact you once it is 100% complete. I am truly grateful for everyone who has trusted and supported me along the way. As I make the shift to a BIRDS ONLY studio, I'm excited to seeing the beautiful birds that come in this fall.
