Remember tiny Pam? She was the kitten that was found in a drainage ditch with a rat trap on her front leg. To be completely honest, when we first saw her we weren’t sure she was going to make it. But LOOK at her now!! And the best part of all is that she’s looking for her forever home!

Pam is approximately 4 months old and has really come out of her shell. She was terrified when she arrived here but she’s now spunky, a little mischievous, and so much fun! She MUST go to a home that has another young cat/kitten. She is good with kids but has never met a dog.

Pam is spayed, up to date on vaccines, negative for FeLV/FIV, dewormed and flea treated. If interested in welcoming this beautiful kitten into your home, please email the Friends of Feral Felines, Maine foster coordinator, Cindy, at [email protected].

As always, Pam is available to an indoor only home with no declawing.

Wanda (darker) and Rita (lighter) are in the market for their forever home together!

These sisters are 3.5 months old and full of life! They play, play, play and then curl up in your lap. Rita is the more outgoing of the pair while Wanda prefers your lap. They are good with other cats and kids but have not met a dog.

Wanda and Rita are spayed, up to date on vaccines, negative for FeLV/FIV, dewormed and flea treated. If interested in giving these girls their forever home, please email the Friends of Feral Felines, Maine foster coordinator, Cindy, at [email protected].

As always, Wanda and Rita are available to an indoor only home with no declawing.

Knowing that time is working against us, they were able to squeeze Sloan in for pre-op evaluation and x-rays TODAY! Next step, surgery! We will let you know the date as soon as we get it.

Saturday will kick off our raffle fundraiser for his surgery so be on the lookout for that post with all the details. It’s going to be a good one!

Sybil is searching for her forever home for the holidays!!

This girl is the definition of “diamond in the rough”. Only a year old and found roaming the streets of Lewiston with a belly full of babies, kinds folks help her find her way to the Ranch shortly before she gave birth. She did a wonderful job raising her kids and is now ready for a happily ever after!

Sybil is very playful and affectionate but will occasionally swat when the mood strikes her. Because of this, a home with young kids is not recommended. She would likely do ok with another cat but she will be the alpha cat. She is good with our very old husky.

Sybil is spayed, up to date on vaccines, negative for FeLV/FIV, dewormed and flea treated. If interested in giving this girl her forever home and adding personality to your life, please email the Friends of Feral Felines, Maine foster coordinator, Cindy, at [email protected]. As always, Sybil is available to an indoor only home with no declawing.

New recruit Sloan has arrived at the Ranch!

The name Sloan means fighter/warrior and what a fitting name it is for this little guy. 3 month old Sloan was trapped last week by our friends at Camp Emmett. He went to the vet for routine neuter but it wasn’t able to be performed as they found he has pectus excavatum. This is the same condition that Drake had 🙀!!

Given the kick-butt experience we had with Drake, Camp Emmett surrendered Sloan to Friends of Feral Felines, Maine so that he can have surgery with the same team that saved Drake! 🙌🏻 He’s already scheduled to see Dr. Chadbourne next week for evaluation and x-rays, following which his pectus surgery with Dr. House will be scheduled. In the meantime, he will be lying low here, adjusting to the posh indoor life and getting as many kisses as he will allow 😻.

Next week we will kick off a fundraiser to help defray the cost of surgery so stay tuned for ways you can help ! Thank you!

A kitty with our friends at Camp Emmett has the same condition as our sweet Drake. Please donate if able and send good vibes. We are rooting for you sweet baby!

Due to a diagnosis of severe pectus excavatum, this cat could not be altered today. We contacted several larger organizations with veterinarians on staff, but they were not able to take on this case. So, he will be coming home with us for socialization. We are fortunate to have found a couple of generous veterinarians who are willing to attempt the surgery at a reduced cost. We rely on online donations to cover expenses, as we do not receive grants. Any remaining expenses are covered by us personally. If you are able to give, we appreciate your support. For more information on pectus excavatum, please refer to the article in the comment section.
