Good morning! We hope everyone is having an amazing weekend and enjoyed the nice weather. We have some exciting events and new to share.

May 13th, 14th and 15th a very lovely lady is going to be hosting a yard sale and tomato sale to help raise funds for Loving Hands Pet Rescue. We are reaching out to see if anyone has anything they would like to donate to the yard sale to help us raise as much as we can. All money raised at the yard sale will go towards the TNR, Trap-Neuter-Release, program we are working on. We have had some amazing donations of live traps and have been working hard to have funds set aside for each cat to go into the vet. Any donations for the yard sale are greatly appreciated. Donations can be dropped off to her in Allen Park.

We are still running the bottle/can drive and have had some amazing donations for that as well. We have been using the funds from the bottle/can drive to go towards of vet bills for the spay/neuter, vaccines and testing of non tnr kitties. Any and all bottle/cans are greatly appreciated.

Loving Hands Pet Rescue is very excited to announce we are a part of the first ever kitten adoption event being hosted by a bookstore in Detroit. We will have some adorable babies there that will be looking for their forever homes. The event is to take place on April 30th 2022.

We are still looking for foster for kittens, cats and small animals. We supply everything needed for the fur baby you are fostering and all we need from you is a safe, happy and loving home while this babies await their forever home. Being a foster is one of the most rewarding parts of rescue as you get to snuggle and love on these adorable babies. You are one of the families that show them what love is and help them on their path to their forever home. If you are able to open your heart and your home to a fur baby in need please feel free to complete a foster application located in the pinned post at the top of the page.

If anyone is able to help return bottle, pass out flyers to stores that allow them to be pinned up or volunteer in anyway please reach out as the help is always appreciated and needed.

Meet Yaddle! Yaddle is an adorable chocolate color baby girl. She came in with Yoda and is also a year old. Yaddle is litter trained, free roaming and a bit shy at first. She was around cats and dogs in her home, since coming into the rescue she has also been around children. Yaddle would love to find her forever home and settle down.

Good morning everyone. I would like to help everyone understand the adoption process here. There is the adoption application that gets done before any meet and greet. Once thats completed we do look it over, call references and the vet listed and if all is good we set up a meet and greet. The meet and greet and application do not guarantee you will get the fur baby you applied for. We allow you to meet several babies, including the one originally interested in, based off the application and what we feel would be the best fit for not only the baby being adopted but your household. This is not a first come first serve adoption. Nothing is set in stone and guaranteed even at the meet and greet. Once the meet and greet is done we can/will do a home check if necessary to make sure everything checks out as stated on the application. This doesn't have to be in person as we know theres still illnesses going around that have many worried. Zoom/video calls are acceptable but will need to see the address and every aspect of the home and yard. At this point if all is good and the right fit has been found we will move forward with the adoption contract, adoption pictures and a happy ending for all involved. Please don't think that a meet and greet or application means that pet is yours. We do get more than one application one babies here and will always choose the best fit for everyone not based on who applied first. The fur babies here are the top priority and we will do what's best for them first and foremost. Thank you and have a wonderful Saturday.🥰🥰

Just another reminder about animals around Easter.
Do NOT get an animal on a whim for Easter.
After Easter shelters become swamped with cats, puppies, and rabbits.
If you think your 7 year old is responsible enough for an animal they are not.
As the adult YOU are responsible for teaching your child to care for it, and caring for it when your child doesn’t. It is not ”their pet” it is YOUR pet, you pay the vet, you buy the food, you obtained the animal.
Also please do not release domestic rabbits, they are NOT equipped to live in the wild and will suffer a cold and miserable death.

Meet Gravy! Hes such an adorable and loving boy once he warms up to you. Hes a bit shy and nervous after being surrendered to the rescue. Gravy is litter trained, good with other cats, has been around dogs and children. Hes 10 months old and such a big ham. Gravy has been playing with toys and another kitty in his foster home and really starting to adjust. Gravy is fully vetted.

Meet Yoda! Yoda is a super adorable and soft boy. Hes a year old, litter trained and is use to free roaming a room. Yoda has been around kitties, dogs and children(since coming into the rescue). Hes a little shy at first but once he settles in he does warm up and loves to be pet. Yoda would love to find his forever home and have his happy ending.

UPDATE:
Shes very weak this afternoon and not fighting near as much as she was late last night. We knew this was going to be hard and we arent giving up just yet. She was drinking a little still on her own this morning but shes getting tired. I can see it in her eyes shes trying but its exhausting for her to keep pushing. We are going to carry as much of this fight for her as we can and hope to make it thru. This is another hard day for her to try and get thru but try we shall. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you.

UPDATE:
She's still fighting so we are still fighting with her and for her. She's a strong little girl that's not ready to give up. She's been doing amazing with treatments but is a bit sore from fluid packs and shots of meds. We are entering day 4 soon and she drank on her own this evening and took a couple bites of food. She's weak and the pain meds make her sleepy but she's trying. She's still in good spirit considering all that going on and tries to wag her tail when we talk to her. This very sweet girl is fighting and needs everyone to fight, pray and keep her in your thoughts. It's help more than what anyone knows. We've had a couple donations that have helped and the rest we have covered so she can get the treatment she needs to get her thru this. Fight sweet girl fight and we are right here with you🥰

Good evening. Its with a heavy heart we make this post asking for much needed help from everyone far and wide. We have a very sweet puppy needing all the prayers, shares and donations she can get. She was rushed to Affiliated Emergency Vet last night and treatment has been started. The bill last night was $328 and we have a bill every 12 hours in the amount of $181. So far we have covered last night and this morning out of our personal funds. This is not something we hesitated to do either as this sweet baby needed help and continues to need help and treatment. We will keep getting her what she needs but donations are very much so needed. Affiliated does not take donations over the phone, unfortunately all donations have to be done in person or sent to the rescue cash app or venmo for us to pay towards her treatment. She's fighting and does not want to give up so we will continue to help her fight. We had someone donate $100 towards her bill tonight which is very helpful and so very much appreciated. Please if anyone can help whether its to share, pray or donate even $1 helps more than anyone truly understands. Pancake wants to live and fight so let's help this sweet girl fight and win. Her foster mom and dad have been amazing and will continue to be amazing for her. Thank you and have a wonderful rest of your night.
