I wish I was joking but Hennie here is the second dog this week that has come to stay with me that the owner has flat out stated they do not want their dog anymore. Reason given: "she's too high energy and we just ain't getting along ". Hennie is a wonderful girl! She is 3 years old. She is up to date on shots. She is spayed. She gets along with everyone! She loves all dogs big and small. And yes she is high energy and loves to play but she does listen well when you tell her no. Hennie is also potty trained . She is trained to not go on furniture and doesn't get people food so she won't beg you for your last bite of dinner! She also crates easily when you leave the house. The only real flaw I've seen is she pulls on a leash. But she's smart and I'm sure with some work could easily become a great walker. Please share this and help me find Hennie a good home.

Kingston is getting older now. Fireworks have never bothered him before this year. But their hearing changes and loud noises can begin to affect pain and arthritis they may have. He had started shaking, crying, and getting diarrhea. Since coddling them etc can reinforce this behavior I decided to try something different. Usually "get em" is for play time and "getting" whoever he's playing with (includes lots of barking). Decided to try that when we hear fireworks and it's been extremely successful. No more shaking, panting, crying or diarrhea. I'll take the barking any day.

When you can't get out of bed due to 350 lbs of dog weighing your blanket down from all sides. I usually sleep on the edge of the bed to easily get out but the storm last night demanded maximum contact for snuggles and comfort .

Junie B is learning all about window watching from Miss Maverick. Maverick has really helped to show Junie what it is to play and be a dog these last few days. She's always had this ability to open up any dog and I cherish every time she comes to stay with me.

I've decided to name her Junie B. She's the sweetest little love bug. Gives lots of kisses. Learning to play with other dogs. She'll soon be looking for her new home. 🥰
