Wanted to take a break from cleaning enclosures today with this little guy. This is Dante, our high white pied burmese. His temperament is just like Bernie the Burm. Super friendly! One day, he will be a great ambassador burm for us.

Today is a great day! The spotted pythons got their new enclosure today. Really happy how well made these Vivarium Electronics PVC enclosures are! Definitely would recommend!

Zoltan, our jungle carpet python, wanted to show some affection this morning! Don't worry, he isn't harming me! Zoltan is our special noodle where his neurological issues affect his way of interacting with us. We still enjoy having him in our lives since he wouldn't be a very good pet for most. Most of the time, he loves to stare at us upside down, and it's very amusing!

After a long day at the expo, we come home to let Misha, our biggest burmese, stretch out and cruise. Her new thing is when she thinks it's time to go back in her enclosure, she likes to wrap my foot and hold on so she can't go back in her enclosure. She isn't trying to hurt me, it's like a hug to tell me she isn't ready to go back home. I love how smart and goofy she is!

When you let your monitors free roam your basement, make sure you put away any kids' toys that might look like food for them. Rajmika thought she caught her dinner tonight, and she was so proud to walk around with it!

When dinosaurs are not ready to be your friend, they tend to show this kind of affection. Don't worry, their little bites are harmless. Someday, we will be friends, but for now, we will be acquaintances. The best part of having these little guys when they are young is they will learn you are not a threat and calm down with time and patience!

Happy Halloween everyone! Don't forget this weekend is the Show me reptile Lincoln Reptile Expo! Show is Sunday from 10 to 3:30 at the Sandhills Global event center. Our Boiga friend won't be there but our other python friends will! Hope to see everyone Sunday!

We got to check out some hot n' spicy noodles today! Love checking out the hot noodles at SCC with Dan Fogell! Great looking animals!

Hopefully everyone is safe and homes and vehicles didn't take too much damage. We had some large limbs in our front and back yard this morning, our pickup took a ding from a limb and we had some basement flooding. Probably would have been a lot worse if Dylan hadn't gone outside in the storm and pulled water from our window wells. Some of the water went directly in Pig Pig's enclosure. She was fine, fast asleep in her basket and buried under her blankets but we had to wake her from her brumation to clean the water out so I think she's a little confused as to why she's awake. 😂
