The Greater Lincoln Obedience Club was founded in 1963 and today, is a comprehensive training club and has been teaching people how to train their dogs for over fifty-eight years. We are an American Kennel Club (AKC) sanctioned club and offer both AKC obedience and agility trials several times throughout the year here in Lincoln, NE. We also host Canine Performance (CPE)trials in Scent Work and Ag

ility. We have an active membership of approximately 100 people and their dogs, many of whom actively compete in a wide variety of dog related activities including obedience, agility, scent work, flyball, tracking, and therapy dog work. We are very proud of the accomplishments of our members, several of whom hold national titles in obedience and agility. Several of these members share their expertise with our students actively teaching obedience and agility classes at Greater Lincoln Obedience Dog Club. Our instructors are committed to excellence in teaching you to train your dog. We offer classes from “puppy manners” to training you to help your dog adjust to a new baby in the family, beginning, intermediate, advanced, and competition-ready classes for obedience, agility, scent work, and fly ball. We offer something for everyone - fun- recreation - competition - and more! We are committed to training and mentoring the next generation of dog fanciers and therefore have assisted 4-H programs in obedience and agility. Each summer the Greater Lincoln Obedience Club helps with the 4-H obedience and agility competitions at the Lancaster County Fair. We also host an open class obedience, rally, and agility competition at the Lancaster County Fair for non 4-H members and adults. We had our summer picnic as one last hurrah at our old building. Our members and their dogs had a great time. The dogs went hotdog bobbing while their parents ate some of the wonderful food brought by the members. Thank you to everyone who attended!

For the AKC Agility trial this weekend at Lincoln Sports Foundation you will need a crate mat on top of the tarps already placed. You may bring your own personal tarp but a crate mat will be needed as well. If you have any questions please reach out to the trial chair, Teresa Barney.

We have exciting news..... we are moving!!! All classes will continue to be held at our current Johanna location until June 13th. Starting June 14th we will be at our new Air Park location. We cannot wait to see everyone there! 🐶

*Google Maps currently shows two locations. Make sure you select the correct location before starting your drive. Our new location is currently listed under Nebraska State Patrol.
**Apple Maps does not show the new location yet (in progress) so we recommend adding a saved destination until it is updated.

Quincy had a wonderful weekend at GLOC'S CPE Scent trial in April at the Saunders County Fairgrounds in Wahoo. He qualified in 10/11 searches and had a perfect day on Sunday! He also battled through the 50 mph winds on Saturday. This boy got all the cookies just for trying, though.

Viktor had a good weekend at GLOC'S CPE Scent Sport Trial in April at the Saunders County Fairgrounds in Wahoo. He qualified 5 out 11 runs. He is so close to his next title! He will compete next at Nationals in Springfield, IL.

Rocky is tired after 2 perfect days at the Wahoo GLOC scent work trial April 6th and 7th. He also competed in his first Level 3 containers search!

Penny completed her enthusiast Level 3 Standard title at the GLOC CPE agility trial last month. She received qualifying runs for 8 out of 9 events for the weekend.

Quincy finished his Standard Level 3 title at GLOC'S CPE March Agility trial. He was 8/15 qualifying runs for the weekend.

Congratulations to CPE Scent Sport competitors this past weekend that braved the winds and played with their dog on their personal wins and titles. Thank you for volunteering to keep our trial running. We hope you had a great time and will see you on September 21, 2024 for our 1 day containers trial. Keep your eye on the CPE calender as well for the October CPE trial premium, October 19 and 20.
