Absolutely amazing! We can’t say thank you enough to these volunteers for all of their hard work and generosity! Very thankful to have the barn deconstructed as part of the first step to rebuilding. It is definitely a weight lifted and a wonderful step forward!

11:11 pm - At this exact same time last Monday night I was sitting in my driveway doing the same thing I do every night… looking up at the stars, checking the forecast, and completing a list of tasks for night check except it was pouring rain and I was getting ready to hang up the phone as I was talking to my friend Nadia (worried about her driving through bad weather on the way home to York). I thought the storm looked like it was going to mostly move north of us and I would wait for it to pass before finishing chores. I always want to be at the barn when there is bad weather or any sort of storm to fight..
it sounds cheesy but it is like my ship and a captain has to go down with the ship.
I think any small business owner could give you list of struggles they have overcame. I think that list increases when you are building from the ground up and dealing with Mother Nature 365 days a year outside combined with the task of taking care of livestock (in this case horses that are deeply loved and family members of their individual owners).
I normally fight any type of “struggle” or overcome whatever Mother Nature throws at the barn in silence without asking for help — because I was raised to not show any “signs of weakness” and to pick myself (and the barn) up, dust myself off and keep going. However, the tornado last Monday night left us grateful to have help- it destroyed years of work in seconds and left the barn in pieces. I could not be more thankful for everyone who volunteered their time or a resource to rebuild or clean up the barn thus far. I have received some of the most help from strangers I didn’t know a week ago. The biggest thank you goes out to Lincoln Rapid Response- you are all nothing short of amazing. Omaha Rapid Response rapid response
Thank you Gana Trucking & Excavating for making sure we had a solid driveway after all of the rain to get vehicles and rolloffs in and out. 🥰
Thank you Morissey Fencing for quickly getting up new fencing!
Thank you Husker Refuse for one of our roll offs and Zach Thies for the other!! 👏
Thank you to the following for food donations to help feed any volunteers- The Chocolate Season, Butterfly Bakery, Tina’s Cafe, Hyvee, Yia Yias, Domino’s, Old Chicago and Bagels and Joe!
Thank you to Kendra Miller for always being there… you are the best. Thank you to Stephanie and her dad for all of their extra efforts! (IYKYK 😘)
Thank you Carine for your donation and helping raise funds! ❤️
Thank you to each of the boarders and their family members who have spent hours at the barn cleaning up. Again… I have the best barn family!!!’ Thank you to those who brought in food, materials or any other sort of donation! We are a long ways from being back to normal and have a lot to rebuild but so much has been done in one week.

Whenever I am going through something hard… I also get quiet.. so I should have made some of this post earlier to thank each of you sooner. However, I am extremely thankful 🥹 and I think this is the first time I have sat down to breathe and have had 10 minutes alone to make a post.
I still have numerous messages to go through and for those who have reached out and maybe I haven’t sent a great reply.. I see you, I love you and appreciate you. I just haven’t even had a chance to even step away from the list of tasks ahead of me until tonight.

I will try to get up pictures of our amazing volunteers, progress and updated state of the barn!

I will continue to update this post!

Note: our front entrance is back up… 😌😌
It is the little things 🥹🥹🫶🏼😭😭

❤️ thank you all from the bottom of my heart

Openings available for pasture board ($300/month) or in our smaller 8 Stall Barn ($400/month). Multiple lots and full care boarding options available from $275+ on the property to choose from. The pictures you see here are all from our smaller eight stall barn which has one of the largest turnouts. All the stalls have fans, stall saver flooring and are 12 by 12 ft. Boarders each receive a large individual tack locker. Horses have access to an automatic waterer, salt blocks, and unlimited hay in and out of the stall (outside the hay is stored in two hay bonnets as seen in the picture attached). There is parking right outside of this barn along with a wash bay area and one of our two round pens. All boarders have access to all of our amenities including our 80 by 160' indoor arena, 100 by 200' and 200 by 250' outdoor arenas, and trailer parking. Trainers on site. Check out our page for more pictures and details on our facility. Call, text or shoot us a Facebook message to set up a tour! (402) 750-1133

We have a wonderful community of horse owners and riders of all ages (both western and English). We would love to have you join our barn family!

🤩🥹 We love this video of the barn. Special thanks to one of our boarders for the video. We had a busy barn with an early morning group lesson in the back arena.

We are a dealer for Hay Bonnets! These are a game changer especially with all of the rain we have had. With hay prices so high, the last thing you want is hay wasted whether that be from weather damage or your horses making a mess of your hay bale and only eating a portion of the bale.
There is an option to add a net to the Hay Bonnet as well.

We have at least one or two Hay Bonnets in each of our pastures at the barn. Another advantage Hay Bonnets offer over stationary feeders is the ability to move the entire bale/bonnet to avoid mud building up around the feeder as horses stand around the feeder in the rainy conditions we have seen this past week. Hay Bonnets are designed to stay in place with the Nebraska winds but also light enough you can lift them to tip them up when it is time to add a new bale or drag them across a paddock without using a tractor.

Please contact us if you have any questions or would like to purchase!

The joys of hauling hay weekly with the fields being cut and baled!
You know what I do love though- clean hay, round bales so big I can’t see over them and good people! I am thankful for all of the individuals we do business with year after year. They take pride in their fields and our horses love having unlimited hay. 🤗
