She has been practicing veterinary medicine in the Covington, Georgia area until rece
ntly when she felt the need to return to family and friends in Delaware. Dr. Dayton grew up in Pony Club and also with FFA and is looking forward to becoming active with these groups on the Eastern Shore. She also has a profound interest in small ruminants including goat, alpacas and llamas and has served as the veterinarian for the Royal Alpaca Show in Conyers, GA. Daisy is enjoying the “dog” days of summer, but she hurt herself chasing an Egret this week! We love Daisy and are so thankful we were able to get her feeling better today! We used our therapy laser to help her with some muscle soreness!

We have been so fortunate to have two students heading to veterinary school this Fall! Nicole is heading to Ross University and Athena is heading to Arizona to get her Masters in Public Health and her DVM! We will miss both of them and we are so proud! We hope that they both return to All Creatures!

‼️OUTBREAK UPDATE‼️
On Friday, The State of Delaware Veterinarian, Dr. Karen Lopez, confirmed three separate shelters and one local rescue have been affected by this canine influenza outbreak. Due to the severity of this illness, they have issued a control order mandating that all Delaware shelters and rescues suspend out-of-state transports, as well as out-of-state intakes or adoptions for the next 30-days. This means no dogs in Delaware can be adopted to or surrendered from out-of-state, regardless of their present health. This control order does not apply to cats.
As this illness has spread to shelters state-wide, it is likely within our community as well. If your pet exhibits any of the following symptoms, please seek immediate veterinary care: persistent coughing or sneezing, vomiting, lethargy, fever, nasal discharge, eye discharge, or loss of appetite.
Hocus Pocus enjoys acupuncture at our most recent visit! Hocus is one of our larger patients being a Great Dane! She seems to love acupuncture!

Wendy likes going to the beach, and loves to collect seaglass. Wendy enjoys gardening and daisy’s are her favorite flower.
Wendy is married to Tim, and they have two lovely daughters who are 16 and 14.
We are so thankful to have Wendy as a member of our team! Wendy is always so kind, and helpful, and enjoys working with her coworkers!

Dr. Ford and Dr.Dayton attended a continuing education event and learned about the importance of a healthy skin, and gut barrier! We learned about this product which can help with the bad breath smell too as well as antibiotic induced diarrhea!

Veterinarian in the making… teaching them young! Do you have any future veterinarian’s in your family? We love volunteers and students to shadow but insurance requires them to be 16 years old! We can’t wait for our students to be back for summer!

We hate posting this but we have had to increase our prices to cover increased costs with electricity, supplies, and medications. Our exam fees have increased as well as our mobile travel fees. Our mobile fees have increased due to increasing travel times due to traffic and growth in the area. Thank you for understanding and know that this was a difficult decision.

Welcome Patches into the world! Patches had a difficult birth or dystocia yesterday. Alpacas have a long neck and his neck was turned and his head was facing towards his mom's head. He couldn't be delivered this way, so Dr. Dayton repositioned him and he was delivered!
