Max is still doing great back wise, but he's been having a little bit of tummy trouble lately. Nothing major, just a little puking here and there. Mama is not too worried because he still has all kinds of energy, wants to eat all the time, and his poops are healthy. BOL (TMI, I know... 😂)

Mama abandoned us AGAIN!!! And for overnight!!! 😳 She says it's her last craft fair, and there won't be any more after this and she will be staying home. We are super glad to hear that, we hate when she leaves! I hope Daddy decides to make bacon for breakfast tomorrow... 🥓🥓🥓

Max is BUMmed. 😂😂 (See what I did there?!) His V-E-T appt today went great, but because of his tweaking his back at 4 weeks post op, the V-E-T wants him to continue to be leashed outside until 12 weeks post op, just to be on the safe side... Because Max WILL run, jump, and double-back after rabbits as soon as he's off leash!! Today is 8 weeks post op, which means Mama has to keep him leashed outside for another FOUR weeks. She is kind of bummed too (no picture of her butt, though 😂) but she knows it's for the best.

In other news, Max has an acupuncture appt later this afternoon, we are hoping his V-E-T says he can go off leash in the backyard soon! (Well, Mama is hoping. I don't really care, BOL!) 😂😘

Well, Mama has totally abandoned us again, for a craft fair. 🙄🤦 She says soon the abandoning will be over, she only has one more craft fair after this, and then she says she is retiring from them! She is just going to focus on her store, and soon there will be a second store! I can't wait till she doesn't have to leave us on weekends anymore. She must feel guilty, because before she left this morning she gave me a new hedgie! Bets on whether or not it will still be alive by the time she comes home?! 😂😂🦔

You're darn right I started it, Mama, and I would have finished it too if that squirrel would make it a fair fight and come down to ground level! ~ Willa Let me at it, Mama!! I'll get him!! ~ Max

So many of you have been asking about Max, Mama says she is sorry she has not posted an update! Thank you for checking in on him!! ❤️ He went to his V-E-T on Tuesday to get checked out, and got acupuncture and laser, and some non steroid anti-inflammatory meds. His V-E-T is very hopeful that he has just irritated things, but no new damage. He's taking a while to bounce back from this little setback, sometimes when Mama gets him out of the crate he seems just fine, other times he seems very stiff and sore. His neurosurgeon said two more weeks of strict crate rest after the rabbit chasing incident, so he has at least another week to go. He will get more acupuncture again this Tuesday!!

Max Video update!! He's got amazing strength and balance now, and can turn around without his back legs falling over. Those rabbits and squirrels better be on high alert cuz he's gonna get 'em as soon as he's off restriction!! (His 4 week post op check isn't until mid October, so the vermin have a little time to figure their crap out 😂)

2 week post-op Max pupdate! Mama says his boohiney is his swagger wagon, BOL 😂😍

Look at Max's back right leg on the grass now!!! And he's speed walking!!! What an answer to all of our prayers. ❤️❤️

One week post-op and look at Miracle Max go!!! 😍🤩 He HATES his boohiney sling, says "I can do it myself, Mama!!" He is getting stronger every day!! (Don't worry friends, Mama is still being VERY careful to not let him overdo it, and she still carries him outside and back in most of the time. She said he is going to have to start wearing his harness and leash for potty breaks very soon, so he doesn't take off after rabbits!)

You guys, LOOK AT MAX WALK!!!! 😲🎉👍🙏 This is such a huge improvement already, he's doing so well!!! We're so proud of our stubborn little strong boy. 😍❤️ My angel Reggie the Red's mom called him MIRACLE MAX, and we agree!! *Mama still carries him in and out and uses a boohiney sling, but every now and then lets him walk a little on his own just to see what he can do. *He does better on pavement than grass *His back right leg still drags on grass (video in comments, was taken immediately after this one)

Boy, if it wasn't for me keeping Mama on schedule, this house would fall apart!! She's been so tired and stressed with everything going on with Max, I had to politely remind her when it was breakfast time!! She said she will have another Max update for you soon!! ❤️
