October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and it’s crucial to recognize the intersection between domestic violence and animal abuse. Many survivors of domestic violence have reported living in cars with their pets rather than leaving them behind.We need more pet-friendly domestic violence shelters to ensure more survivors and pets find safety and freedom from violence.
