This week is #NationalVeterinaryTechnicianWeek – a special time designated to recognize, celebrate, and promote the vital role and valuable contributions technicians and assistants make to the veterinary profession and the health and well-being of animals. 🐈🐕♥
As members of the healthcare team, they do whatever it takes to care for patients and their families – from triaging critical patients and providing life-saving CPR, to giving extra cuddles to a sick pet and making sure they have plenty of blankets.
These talented professionals laugh with you, cry with you, and are always there for you and your pet.
This week (and every week) we celebrate our veterinary technicians and assistants. THANK YOU for all that you do! 🌟🎉

"Hello" from Jelly Bean! 🐱
This adorable boy belongs to Ashley who manages our client service representative team.
Several years ago, he had an eye issue and had to have his eye removed due to complications.
Ashley adopted him shortly thereafter and has given him a fantastic life! Jelly Bean is healthy and happy and has adjusted perfectly fine with just one eye.
He loved being the solo star of our video and looks forward to even more time in the spotlight! 💕
Kona is not only a fighter, he is also a survivor and a success story!
This sweet boy came in through our emergency department. He was lethargic, experiencing vomiting and diarrhea, and wasn't eating.
After a thorough triage by our technicians and a discussion with our doctors, and factoring in that Kona is a puppy and had not yet completed his puppy series of vaccines, the first course of action was to run a Parvo Virus test.
Sadly, the test results came back positive. All of the options were discussed with the family and they elected to hospitalize Kona for treatment.
For 12 days, this adorable little puppy stayed in our hospital on IV fluids and medications. Because he lacked an appetite, our doctors recommended a feeding tube. Day by day, hour by hour, the Linwood team and Kona's family hoped and prayed that he would take a turn for the better.
Finally, Kona began to slowly gain his appetite back and we were able to remove his feeding tube. As his true puppy self started to shine through, we switched to all oral medications, weaned him from his IV fluids, and eventually removed his catheter.
Kona was finally strong and healthy enough to be discharged from the hospital and enjoy life at home with his family who had missed him dearly.
We are so happy that Kona is THRIVING at home with his two fur-siblings! Every Linwood team member formed a special bond with him during his hospitalization and he holds a special place in all of our hearts.
