I placed 2nd this weekend at in Intermediate Poodle Class. This was my first time competing with a dog I had never met or groomed previously, and through the challenges that can come with that, I did it! I'm glad it was recognized but also know I can do wayyyy better next time.

All American 2023 has come to a close for Team Novi Grooming! Freestyle was a success with a 1st place Entry and 2nd place Group! Poodle was fun and I'm happy to have finished with a decent profile and much to learn for next time! Next stop, Whitman's! Hopefully the new puppy has enough hair by then!

I'm so happy to see Novica Zugic in the ring again after much persuasion, and Ari Velasquez for building her skillset and making her competition debut with a difficult canvas!

Placed 1st in Entry and 2nd in Group today with Hugo! I am beyond words, and I'm so happy that others got to see how great he is! Hard work really does pay off, and I'm excited to see what the future holds!

The goal was layers, and boy we got 'em! Remember Jolene? She had ZERO layers in her guard coat the last time I saw her, and now it's coming in nicely! Last photo was from June and I nearly had to pull her to her un**es! Now to keep this coat rolled 🤣

Official PetQuest sign out for Novi Grooming Team! Overall I'm really happy with my groom, and looking forward to next time! Jessica did an amazing job on Crowley, and I'm so excited to see what she does next!

Traveling with .and.her.dogs has been a breeze. What's 3 days straight when we spend most days together at the salon anyway? We'll see you all at All American next!

The REAL Puppy Cut! I busted out some scissor work on Zephyr before a show this weekend. He'll be 10mos old soon, and his coat is coming in gloriously! Poodles under 12mos are shown in this style, which is the REAL "Puppy Cut". It allows the dog to grow into their adult coat in a more natural form before being clippered into the Continental at 12mos old.
