I posted some updates on Instagram but never got around to Facebook. Milton did a number on my training facility. We lost at least 16 large oak trees on the property, 13 of which were in the small area where I do the majority of my training. A tornado likely went through this area. However, all animals, people, major structures and vehicles are fine. Trying to clean up this week has been exhausting and stressful. I can't even begin to imagine how this week has been for those who have lost more. You all have been continually in my prayers.

I didn't get on here to post about the destruction but instead to boast in the Lord. This week has been so filled with reminders of His grace that I do not deserve. From His protection through the storm to church family and friends who have been out more than once to help. Plus so many little reminders (too many to list) of His love and mercy throughout the week.

In the recent months I've enjoyed the song His Glory My Good by CityAlight but I found it more of comfort this week than weeks before.
These lines in particular stood as a reminder for me that even when times get hard He is working for His glory, and my good. In my need His power is displayed.

"There is hope in every trial
For I can trust the Lord
He will turn my heart towards Him
And help me bear the thorn
So in faith, I follow Jesus
On the road not understood
For I know that He is working
For His glory and my good

To our God be the glory, to our God be praise
He alone, the name above all names
I will boast ever only in the Lord, my God
For I know His glory is my good"

Pictured below is my round pen before, the day after, and a week after the storm. Thankful for the progress that has been made on cleanup. I should be up and running and able to start accepting new clients again come November🙌 Shoot me a message if you are interested.

Every so often, I have the opportunity to work with a more unique horse breed. This month, it's a Fjord named Frayja.

Thankful for Frayja's owner and all my other clients who've given me the chance to work with their beautiful equines💛

Today was graduation day for this little mustang🥹🥳

If you had told me I'd be riding this gelding bridless by the time he finished training, I would have thought you where crazy.

Rio has blossomed and come a long way from the unconfident horse I first met, who often let his fear get the better of him. Happy trails buddy💛

Things have been a little dusty lately, which isn't ideal. However, the sunrise shining through all the dust this morning made for some beautiful scenery.

After taking a break to laugh, (see previous post) we got back to work and finished Phoenix's second ride with a nice lope.

Taking applications for a new c**t starting assistant. Mine is bad at videoing and falls 🤣 (volume up)

Okay okay, just kidding (sorry Mom 😘)

Phoenix had his second ride today but was a little hesitant to lope. While my mother was helping me encourage him to move, she discovered a hole in the ground that had been dug by a horse that was in the round pen previously😅

Phoenix has made a lot of progress since arriving🙌
The first video was Monday last week, (day one of training) and the second video is from Monday this week (yesterday).

Despite having a lot of "opinions" about working, Phoenix has a lovely, quiet demeanor and his owners have done a fantastic job gentling and desensitizing him. I'm excited about his continued progress and seeing them grow as a team.

They got to work together yesterday morning to help ensure I got all the horses worked before the afternoon monsoon.

I'm absolutely delighted with the progress Maizey, (client horse) is making under saddle. She's an incredibly talented filly, and I'm thrilled to see her continued development.

Switching things up a little bit 🔁
One of my clients asked if I could get their horse accustomed to ponying another horse and Caspian was the guy for the job. I can't say he too happy about it but he obliged as usual.
