I posted some updates on Instagram but never got around to Facebook. Milton did a number on my training facility. We lost at least 16 large oak trees on the property, 13 of which were in the small area where I do the majority of my training. A tornado likely went through this area. However, all animals, people, major structures and vehicles are fine. Trying to clean up this week has been exhausting and stressful. I can't even begin to imagine how this week has been for those who have lost more. You all have been continually in my prayers.
I didn't get on here to post about the destruction but instead to boast in the Lord. This week has been so filled with reminders of His grace that I do not deserve. From His protection through the storm to church family and friends who have been out more than once to help. Plus so many little reminders (too many to list) of His love and mercy throughout the week.
In the recent months I've enjoyed the song His Glory My Good by CityAlight but I found it more of comfort this week than weeks before.
These lines in particular stood as a reminder for me that even when times get hard He is working for His glory, and my good. In my need His power is displayed.
"There is hope in every trial
For I can trust the Lord
He will turn my heart towards Him
And help me bear the thorn
So in faith, I follow Jesus
On the road not understood
For I know that He is working
For His glory and my good
To our God be the glory, to our God be praise
He alone, the name above all names
I will boast ever only in the Lord, my God
For I know His glory is my good"
Pictured below is my round pen before, the day after, and a week after the storm. Thankful for the progress that has been made on cleanup. I should be up and running and able to start accepting new clients again come November🙌 Shoot me a message if you are interested.
