There are SO many animals that need homes right now. All of the shelters and rescues are full.

The animals listed on our website are just a fraction of what’s available at the shelter.

It will be a beautiful weekend to meet your new best friend.

Come see for yourself at 4500 Kramer Street, Tuesday-Saturday, 10:30-5.

All animals are microchipped, sterilized, and vaccinated before leaving the shelter.

If you aren’t ready to adopt, you can also foster.

LRAV is in the home stretch of our new expansion. However, the last phase will require that we close the kennels to the public the week of May 20th. We will reopen on May 28th. Intake will be open, reclaims and normal business will be conducted. You can adopt if you know the specific animal you wish to adopt. All construction should be completed by June 15th. Watch for our celebration party to come. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

A big shout out to Dogs Only, another transport partner of LRAV. Thanks to Dogs Only, twelve precious puppies left LRAV this morning in route to their forever homes. Thank you Dogs Only for what you do to help save lives 🐾❤️🐾

Thank you to the ASPCA and their wonderful partnership with LRAV. This morning 16 dogs left with ASPCA for Indiana. One special dog, Darius (in the group photo and others) marked the 3500th animal that ASPCA has transported from LRAV. We thank you for these life saving trips and value our partnership. Thank you for all that you do.
