We have recent openings for full care board; also housing for the right individual and opportunities available.

Welcome to Gray Feather Stables; We are a full care facility located in Lizton, IN (hendricks county Danville/Brownsburg/Avon/Pittsboro) quick access from 74; We currently have stalls available and can offer our potential clients the following;

Boarding opportunities
We currently offer full care only (no pasture board/self care option) Full care offers turnout on beautiful green pastures of 40 acres, we installed a 100X200 outdoor arena, indoor 80x100, an amazing 60 foot covered round pen. Our stalls are 10x12 matted, and bedding added weekly. We also have larger stalls 12x12 and 16x20 available for rehab needs or mare and foaling needs available (prices adjust accordingly for larger stalls) . We proudly offer XCEL feed and grain and feed a quality alfalfa/grass daily. Stalls are cleaned 6 days a week and clean water provided daily. Our fields are equipped with automatic waters and shelter. Our board starts at $600.00 and increases with needs and requests. We offer trailer storage and welcome any vendors that you may have including vet services and farrier.

We take great pride in the care that we offer the horses that are trusted into our care at Gray Feather Stables, and know the horses come first. We have can assist with but not limited to ground work, riding and liberty. We also have a Bemer blanket onsite for wellness and available for use when scheduled.

Lessons are not a requirement but the outlet is there for you should you wish to better yourself along with your equine partner. Our farm sits on 40 acres with beautiful fields in the spring and summer for turnout. We have a beautiful lounge that will welcome all that visit; coffee, hot chocolate and popcorn is always available if you just want to sit and visit and relax.
We currently have horses for sale and a few for onsite leasing.
The farm is also equipped with breeding stocks and a collection dummy for stallions. (We do not board stallions) If you have a need for any specialized services will be do our best to accommodate any and all needs. We have availability to host clinics and shows if there is need, and we are currently working on hosting an upcoming clinic and onsite events.

EASY CARE CLINIC with DAN SCHROEDER OF EASY CARE INC.

Gray Feather Stables in Lizton, Indiana and Harmony Natural Horse Care are hosting a demonstration clinic for the EasyShoe Versa Grip Octo Tab Glue on Shoe. This is a game changer for all. We will be applying them on 2 demo horses and will have educational material for you to take home as well. Whether your horse is currently barefoot and or you are thinking of going barefoot, this application could be exactly what you are looking for. Especially for those who want to stay barefoot and not deal with boots on the trail rides and or during a show season. They are easily reapplied for a couple of sets.

All are welcome. Horse owners, Natural Hoof Care Practitioners, Equine Veterinarians and Farriers.

The clinic will be held on Saturday April 1, 2023 from 9am to 5pm. Please bring a folding chair to sit in. We will be providing coffee, water, donuts, snacks and Lunch. If there are any allergies, we need to be aware of please comment and or PM me so we can make sure we are providing food to fit all diets.

Due to inquiries and needs of the equine community we have decided to open up new sections of the farm. We currently have 30 plus stalls available and can offer our potential clients the following;

We are currently looking into adding additional services which will include "Wellness Day" for your equine partner that will include magnawava, bemer, redlight therapy and speciality farrier services. We take great pride in the care that we offer the horses that are trusted into our care at Gray Feather Stables, and know the horses come first. We have staff on site that are knowledgable with rehabilitation with years experience along with offering lessons and training, not limited to ground work, riding and liberty. Introduced some Beautiful c**ts to one another today Gray Feather Stables; Tobee/friesian c**t and Vangough/friesian gypsy c**t. These boys are super smart and took it all in stride.

We have diligently been working around the farm and making improvements and we are now accepting to clients and boarders. Gray Feather Stables we offer the following amenities;
A brand new outdoor arena 100x200 with limestone foundation and 3 inches of néw sand.
A covered and enclosed 60 foot round pen (lighting to be installed soon)
A 80x100 indoor arena
40 acres of separate turnout out paddocks. Mares and geldings separated.
Pastures are equipped with automatic waterers.
Daily turnout by 7:30 am and brought back in around 5. Horses are fed twice daily with bag and grain. Premium grain and hay fed.
Barns are equipped with wash bays with hot water.
Climate controlled tack rooms; electronically locked doors passcode protected.
Property monitored with cameras in place.
Stalls are cleaned daily in the morning/fresh water supplied daily and xcel feed.
There are 5 restrooms on site along with an amazing gathering area equipped with seating and an office for meetings or just to visit.
We are looking to install a large obstacle course to be completed by spring weather permitting.
We are seeking kind and wonderful people to share this amazing facility with; we hope to have clinics and shows in the future along with lessons and on-site training but not required to attend. We have breeding equipment on site as well. We would welcome the opportunity to meet with you and show you the farm; we are looking to create a supportive and nurturing environment with a barn family that will support one another in their equine journey. Absolutely drama free!
We do have a 16 stall barn available as well as we are also seeking an on-site trainer ( not discipline specific) that assist with lessons and training for lease (not available for someone wanting to establish a boarding barn) we have on-site housing available for the right individuals and work performed can be credited towards housing.
