Our holiday tree is ready for some festive cheer—and we need your help to make it shine! From now until January 2, 2026, you’re invited to stop in and purchase a special ornament to support our Pet Emergency Fund.

For a minimum donation of $1, you can personalize an ornament with your pet’s name (all are welcome—clients and non-clients alike!) and add it to our growing display of holiday warmth and generosity.

We’ll be closing early today at 4:00pm so our team can enjoy a spooky (and safe!) night with friends and family.
We’ll reopen at our regular hours on Monday, 11/4/25.

🦴 Halloween Safety PSA for Pet Parents:

🍫 Keep all candy out of reach! Chocolate, sugar-free treats (especially those with xylitol), and raisins can be toxic to pets.

🎭 Costume caution: If your pet wears a costume, make sure it’s comfortable, breathable, and doesn’t restrict movement or vision.

👗 Watch those costumes! Loose parts, glitter, sequins, and strings from both pet and human costumes can be tempting for curious pets to chew or swallow—keep them out of paw’s reach.

🚪 Doorbell drama: Frequent visitors can stress pets—keep them in a quiet, secure space if possible.

Last up for Veterinary Technician Week...Brianna. Brianna is our newest Veterinary Technician hire and we are excited to teach her the ropes of Veterinary Medicine. Welcome to the Countryside team!

Brianna has had a lifelong passion for animals, which inspired her to pursue a degree at Genesee Community College's, in their Veterinary Technology program. Brianna is a recent graduate and chose Countryside as her first position - in which we hope will be long-lasting and successful career. She is excited about begining her professional journey and is looking forward to all of the opportunities that lie ahead.

Up next for Veterinary Technician Week...the engaging and committed Megan. The whole team at Countryside appreciates all of her hard work (and occasional antics😁)!

Megan joined us in June 2023, and brought with her a wealth of experience and knowledge. She holds an associate in veterinary technology, graduating from Genesee Community College in Batavia, New York, in 2023. Megan’s journey in the veterinary industry began as a veterinary assistant, where she dedicated three years to a vaccine clinic, demonstrating her commitment to animal care. Beyond her professional life, Megan finds solace and joy in outdoor activities, particularly camping with family, kayaking, and hiking. At home, she shares her space with a loyal canine companion, Ivy, making Megan’s love for animals not just a profession but a way of life.

Wendy, LVT brings over 4 decades of invaluable expertise as a Veterinary Technician to our team at Countryside Veterinary Clinic. A proud alumnus of State University at Delhi, New York, Wendy joined our ranks in November of 1983, having cultivated a passion for animal care from a young age. Wendy’s journey began with roles in grooming shops and horse stables during her teenage years, further solidifying her dedication. Prior to her formal education in veterinary technology, she volunteered at Killewald Animal Hospital, where she gained hands-on experience in clinic maintenance. In her extensive veterinary career, Wendy has found joy in meeting countless furry friends and their owners, with a particular focus on cytology and microscopy. Outside the clinic, Wendy immerses herself in diverse interests, including hiking, traveling, reading, herb gardening, and cooking. Her home is enriched by the presence of Nero and Dobie J., both loyal canine companions, and Widget, a feline friend.
