He was then sent for 30 days of reining training with a professional NRHA trainer. He would make an amazing youth reiner with some finishing. Great Kids Horse
Loves the trail!
He is great for anyone that enjoys a horse that just does what you say and enjoys every minute! We would love to find someone interested in keeping him with us at the ranch! We will be missing this guy! He is a rockstar in all of our programs! Looking for the perfect kids or grandparents horse- this guy is IT!

Here’s his listing:
Buzz
Red Roan QH Gelding
9 years old
Barefoot & Easy Keeper
Buzz just loves the kiddos and they love him right back!
Buzz is your kids our grandpa’s horse extraordinaire. He is the all around family horse that will do any job easily. He is a cute, round, 14.3 h tall little pork chop that loves the trail and adventures! He is owned by a gentlemen that has trail ridden him and enjoyed riding around his property but unfortunately his family has moved to Texas and Buzz needs a new loving home. Buzz has been professionally trained at Mangold Ranch and is currently being worked and used for lessons and trail activites. He is ridden in nothing but a rope halter mostly and moves off the leg very easily. He neck reins very well, and he is great for beginner riders. Buzz does well with lots going on, he is thoroughly desensitized and does great with our therapy program at the ranch. Buzz has a great set of skills derived from natural horsemanship training. Buzz is a great teacher and is great for beinner riders. Buzz would excel in open shows and has the slowest little jog, he has a fancy log trot, and a very slow relaxed lope.
Looking to find him the perfect match, also would love to keep him living at the ranch- he is a very easy keeper and is kind out in the herd of horses.
Our Signature ranch horses come with foundation training, including:
Free lunging and joining up
Lunging on a line in both directions
Ground driving with a saddle
Desensitization to children, vehicles, dogs, trail distractions, and unexpected objects
Standing tied patiently and quietly
Loading and trailering calmly
Stopping on command
Riding in both a rope halter and a bit
Accepting clipping, bathing, farrier care, and basic veterinary attention

Mal is the definition of CLASS ACT.
She is THE horse to buy if you are a trail nut that loves camping, otter creek, cherry creek, the mountains, valleys and streams. She is the real package! She loves going on trail riding adventures and if there was a bomb proof horse she would be it.

Mal also has an impecable resume. She was with one of the NRHA's finest trainers for close to a year and shows real talent for reining, while still being quiet enough for us to use in our inclusive riding program. She's got a fun personality which makes her truly stand out, she is the first horse to come see you in the field and actaully gets jealous when she is not the one coming in for work, haha. Mal, is a hot pick for all the ranch hands from trail activites to our lesson program and therapy program. She always keeps people safe and is a very desensitized horse. She really wasn’t hot enough to make it far in the renining world so we just finsihed her off as a ranch/trail mount for our needs. She has intelligence, personality, and the elegance people love so much in a mare.
Mal, can sit out for days/weeks and will have the same disposition she had the last time we rode her. Anyone can ride Mal and for beginners her steering is like auto pilot.
She's got great barn manners and stands tied quietly for grooming, bathing, and tacking.
Before sale, our Signature ranch horses have our foundation-trained skills:
-Free lunge and join up
-Lunge on the line in both directions
-Ground drive with a saddle on
-Have been desensitized to kids, vehicles, dogs, trail distractions, and other unexpected objects
-Patiently and quietly stand tied
-Load and trailer quietly
-Stop on command
-Ride in both a rope halter and a bit
-Easy for bathing, farrier care, and vet
Horses come up for sale at the ranch if they aren’t being paid for by a leaser once they are trained- we are always training more horses. She is also available for on Farm Lease as all our horses are. She is kinda perfect in everyway and would love to keep her at our ranch. Hay is expensive so we have to do what we have to. This also helps us train and help more more and more horses have the opportunity to find amazing homes after gaining a solid foundation of behavioral skills at our ranch.
Thanks for reading and Happy Trails!

🌟 🥵🔥Attention, everyone! I have an important message for those who have been trying to reach me or the ranch in the past two weeks. Let me start by saying that AT&T is possibly the worst company to do business with. I have never experienced such poor customer service in my entire life.

🔥Gone are the days when the stores could assist you with general maintenance, cancellations, or phone issues. Now, you have to waste hours of your precious time by calling AT&T directly. And guess what? When you finally get through to someone, they intentionally drop your call because they simply don't want to deal with your situation. It's incredibly frustrating!

🔥This ordeal lasted for days, leaving me without phones that I'm already overpaying for. AT&T decided to add an extra line without my consent, claiming it was a better package deal than just having "2 lines." They even included my two Apple Watches on my account, which they were not supposed to do. These watches were solely purchased for Bluetooth capabilities. To make matters worse, one of the watches is connected to a VERIZON phone, yet AT&T still charged me monthly for it. Can you believe the confusion?

🔥I tried tirelessly to fix the issue with my phones, but AT&T managed to mix up which one was my work phone and which one was my primary phone. Now, I'm incredibly upset and disgusted that no one is willing to resolve my situation. Fortunately, I have a computer genius as a dear friend who took matters into her own hands. She emailed all the CEOs and presidents of the company, exposing this appalling situation. I also visited four different stores and spent more than 10 hours on the phone, only to experience dropped calls and constant transfers between departments.

✉️ Finally, the CEO of AT&T located in Kentucky reached out to address my issue. While my phones are not completely fixed yet, he has been researching my account for the past week. I am grateful for his attention, but he’s still a JOKE!

THE FACT I HAD TO REACH OUT TO A CEO OR PRESIDENT TO GET SOMETHING RESOLVED AND THEY STILL HAVENT FIXED OR CREDITED ME BACK COMPLETELY FOR THIS- YOU JUST WAIT- IF ANYONE IS IN NEED OF HELP with AT&T. I have many emails that can get you the attention you need and I’ll definitely be displaying them all over THE PLACE! Waste my time- now I’m going to waste yours!

NO ONE DESERVES TO PAY A LARGE CORPORATION EVERY MONTH FOR THEIR ENTIRE LIVES AND HAVE NO ONE GIVE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. They don’t CARE period.

🙏 I want to express my sincere disappointment and frustration with the local Lockport AT&T for their terrible service since the beginning of my business account. As for the other stores, whether corporate or not, it's disheartening to see the lack of care and support from AT&T employees. And ALL I heard when I walk in a store is oh we can’t help you with that, oh try a corporate store, oh no we’re just sales here, you have to call corporate, oh your a business account now you have to call the loyalty department, oh no I’m going to transfer you back to the business department…. It never ends. This is absolutely unacceptable, and you should all be ashamed. What a terrible company!

I HAVE LOST WORK, TIME, FUEL, HOURS OF MADNESS, and No One Cared to get my phones working again. You can kiss my ass AT&T!

🤬🔥

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐰𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐭 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐖𝐚𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 "𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐲"

The best way to start this article is by introducing myself. I'm Sarah, and I manage a lot of the backend here at Mangold. I do the billing, maintain the backend systems on the website, write articles, make flyers, and do whatever else needs done around here. I also assist Megan with training our horses. I like to think I do a good job most of the time.

I am also very invested in our Have it Your Way program, because I'm disabled.

I received my autism diagnosis at eight years old through an independent neuropsychologist after my parents noticed there was just something different about me. I didn't really have friends my own age, was extremely verbal while somehow still managing to miss all the finer points of a conversation, and couldn't grasp math skills to save my life. I couldn't read facial expressions, and didn't really understand when other kids did not appreciate my weird mannerisms. And because of my autism, I've always been absolutely obsessed with animals of all kinds. I have a gift with them that I'm lucky has only grown as I've gotten older.

Later in life I developed rheumatoid arthritis and started needing hearing aids as a result, but I'm still doing okay.

When you grow up with a disability like autism, you get to experience all kinds of therapies. I had social skills club, special education, various peer groups with clever labels designed to help me learn to 'fit in' better. I spent a lot of my life either being put in programs with other disabled kids or given a neurotypical 'buddy' to try to help me out, one that typically didn't really want to deal with me. As a result, I often wound up either feeling like a burden, or worse, feeling othered because the programs I spent time in were obviously meant as a way to fix whatever was wrong with me, not as a way for me to have fun.

Equestrian opportunities for the disabled rider can often feel like this.

Therapy programs are great! They help a lot of people. They're an instrumental tool for helping some people to learn to live as they are. But oftentimes they result in students being siloed off into groups of other disabled people, riding as a way to 'fix' them as opposed to for leisure or as a hobby.

At the same time, it can be difficult to find 'regular' riding programs if you're disabled. I was a handful as a kid. I didn't have very good executive function and so I was a lot for an instructor to keep track of. I had trouble balancing myself and so I was hard to teach. I actually spent years thinking I couldn't do it at all! I still remember vividly being 'fired' from a volunteer opportunity at the local stable growing up because I just was not fast enough cleaning stalls and sometimes forgot to put the wheelbarrow away. I was ten years old and very upset about it.

Some programs won't take disabled clients at all and refer them to therapy programs that only service disabled people.

We want our program at Mangold Ranch Versatility to be different than that.

Everyone wants opportunities to learn, grow, and express themselves. Everyone wants to feel like they belong somewhere. And we want to craft a program where our disabled riders feel like they belong and can succeed and are wanted and valued as members of our community. And that's why we don't call the program "therapy".

Ten year old me could have been successful with just a little extra guidance. I was lucky enough that the ranch gave me a shot and found ways for me to be successful. I was so successful actually that over the summer I broke my first horse to saddle all on my own. I was so successful that I am now taking on my own training projects! I still always have Megan to ask for help--and I often do--but the things I can do independently go far beyond anything anyone ever expected me to be capable of. I just needed a chance.

We want our students to have a chance to find their passions too! We find ways for everyone to participate in horsemanship even if they can't--or in some cases do not wish--to ride! We do groundwork. We have horses that are broke to drive a cart. We have a donkey that loves to do obstacle courses with our students. There's never any pressure to enjoy horses a specific way or to become a certain level of rider in order to have value.

Most people don't want every leisure activity they have to be tied into 'fixing' whatever problem society has deemed they have. I do not need fixing, because there's nothing wrong with me. Sometimes I want to do things for fun and enjoyment, because they bring peace to my soul. Horses have helped me to grow as a person, but not because they were labeled therapy. They just do that.

Participants in our inclusive horsemanship programs don't need fixing, either. They're fine, just the way they are. We see you and we welcome you, and we want you to be members of our community.
