He's a 2-3 year old lab mix who is great with other dogs, cats, and kids. A true companion! Like many shelter dogs, Bubba will need some extra work (and patience) with his potty training, but he's a quick learner.

I’m Kraken, and as my name might suggest – I’m active and I looove to play. But what many don’t know about me is that I also enjoy long afternoon naps and snuggles.
I spend a lot of time in the front office of the shelter because 1) the boss lady loves me to pieces and 2) when I first arrived at the shelter, I was sickly. I almost lost my left eye due to an infection! But I’m a fighter, as you can tell by looking into BOTH of my beautiful eyes.

Just Happy to Bea Alive!
Bea arrived at CCHS on July 12, cradled in the arms of a good samaritan who saw her “hopping” across the city street. Bea was very sick and inexplicably missing her tail and her back left foot. Her condition was rapidly deteriorating.
Cue Purdue Veterinary Hospital + emergency fluids and antibiotics to stave off sepsis and boost Bea's strength for amputation surgery.
**In the meantime, Miss Bea stole our hearts with her love of cuddles, extreme persistence, and purrs of gratitude.**
FAST FORWARD ⏭ to July 24
Bea’s surgery was an amazing success! Her pre-op x-rays showed severe breakage in not only her femur but also her pelvis. But just 45 minutes post-op, Bea was wide awake and ready to explore her new foster home.
Bea is NOT available to adopt (due to her continued recovery and future spay surgery) but she is a true inspiration. She remains blissfully unaware of her physical limitations, and her cuddly zest for life continues to blossom.
We are deeply grateful to Purdue University Veterinary School and to you, our supporters. Your time, effort, and donations help make the necessary medical and foster care possible for true survivors like Bea.😻
