This little shih tzu was recently groomed and went missing near 2065 US highway 42 South West in London, Ohio on the 11th of February. If you have any idea where this little one is or possibly have the dog, please call the shelter at 614-879-8368, thank you!

On Friday we teamed up with Purebred Rescue Organization of Ohio, Inc. and got Miss Magnolia back to feeling herself. This sweet baby was unfortunately abandoned by her owners but is in a new home today!

FOSTER TO ADOPT!!!!!
This little cutie came to us as an owner surrender. He was incredibly loved his entire life and unfortunately his owners were no longer able to keep him. They’re hoping Gunner finds a home that will love him as they did.

Gunner is a real treat! This little guy knows every trick in the book. Sit, Stay, Speak, Touch, Shake with both paws and the cutest rollover we’ve ever seen. Gunner is a lover of vanilla ice cream cones and cuddles under the blankets. He’s house trained and super sweet with new people, other dogs, kids and also LOVES car rides.. A sweet senior lap dog that’s looking for his new home.

Here’s a few facts about our sweet boy, Gunner.

Age - 10 years
Size - Small (27lbs)
Likes - Car rides, Stuffed toys, vanilla ice cream cones, sleeping by your feet in bed. Treats. Cuddles.

Other dogs - Gunner is great with other dogs per his previous owner and we haven’t seen anything to suggest otherwise.

Housetraining - Gunner is fully housetrained and great at letting you know when he needs to go outside to potty.

This is a friendly competition between London and the school up north that ends, 10/4, at the Battle of 42 Football Game. You will also be able to bring items to the football game to donate.

BENEFITS OF NAIL TRIMMING OR GRINDING:

Dogs that run around on concrete, blacktop or other hard surfaces often are able to wear down their nails. However, many dogs either spend most of their time indoors or running around on grassy surfaces. This means that their nail tips aren’t worn down regularly, which can lead to overly long nails.

Nails that are too long are at risk of being torn off, such as if your dog’s nail gets caught on a piece of carpeting or furniture. This can result in an injury that might require veterinary care if it’s serious enough. Longer dog nails also make it harder for dogs to walk around comfortably. When your dog’s nails hit the floor constantly as she walks, this can put more pressure on the nail bed. This pressure can cause discomfort that forces your dog to distribute her weight differently while she walks, which can affect the way her toe and paw joints are aligned.
