The EmBARKadero started simply as a place to share the humorous and loving relationships and experiences we have with our dogs with a community of other dog owners/lovers. We began with this page and to our surprise, the community quickly grew to 190,000+ followers. Through our interactions, we validated what John Grogan, author of "Marley & Me" said about animal lovers; they “...are a sp

ecial breed of humans, generous of spirit, full of empathy, perhaps a little prone to sentimentality, and with hearts as big as a cloudless sky”. We became a community that not only laughed and cried together about our wonderful fur-babies but also shared relevant news on animal welfare, health, food recalls, service dogs and on several occasions, using the proper channels and our network, moved to action to help rescue pets in need. Today, The EmBARKadero is pleased to offer a companion website (www.theembarkadero.com) as a shopping, education and entertainment site to complement our Social Media presence. The products that we sell are meant to appeal to the inherent traits in all dog lovers....caring, humorous, sometimes a bit quirky and proud of it.
