That ice storm was brutal; so glad we are on the other side of it. Today I let the residents out to enjoy a break from the mud and soak up some sun.

Sweet Maggie and Milton chilling in their hacienda. Maggie is pushing 20 years old but is doing great.

These two came from a rescue in Jackson, Mississippi several years ago. Their owner had been the director of a large shelter who just didn't have the heart to let them be euthanized when the shelter was out of space - so she took them home. Due to health issues she became unable to properly care for them, and they came to me. Besides these two I also picked up Boxcar Willie, Waddles, Li Li, and Piggy Bank. Thry have been wonderful additions to the sanctuary.

Local (NE Texas friends)....
It's that time of year again, and I'm seeing beautiful fall decorations everywhere!
If you have pumpkins and/or hay bales you would be willing to donate once the season has passed, please pm me. I can drive as far as Dallas and can come pick up from you.

Incidentally, I would be happy to come pick up your kitchen scraps or vacuum up your problem acorns if you'd be up for it. I'm in Longview; hit me up!
