This girls needs her own person!!

9 month old female German Shepherd. She is very green. She does not have any “formal training”.

Mid-high ball drive. She will hunt for a ball but is still learning the game. Good gripping behavior. She is a softer dog and needs confidence as she does take things personally. Very affectionate and loyal to her person. Does not care to interact with other people. She is High energy, so not suggested for a household with small children.

ACTIVE pet or potentially working/sport prospect for someone who is willing to put in the work and be patient with her. German import. Titled and health tested parents. P.r.i.c.e.d. less than the cost of importing alone.

Protection workshop coming up August 31st to September 1.

Isaiah is a wonderful PSA trial decoy and training decoy. He can not only safely work seasoned competitors but he has a talent for developing young dogs in protection work. This will be a protection based workshop to work at whatever level your dog is at. This could be scenarios, grip building, confidence building, sleeve or suit, developing young dogs, etc. This is open to newbies as well. Isaiah has been studying under Jonathon Katz at Dogma Academy and has worked several of my personal dogs at Dogma and on the trial field. We are very fortunate Isaiah is willing to come to Arkansas for a weekend. We do have to hit a minimum dog number for him to come so don't hesitate to message me with any questions or to register.

Will be hosted at my property in Tull, Arkansas 72015. We will have access to a climate controlled turf floor training room and outside access to many acres of field, pond, and woods.

Happy Independence Day!!

Remember you are in charge of advocating for your dog and their safety! Make sure they have a safe secure place to go, put them on a leash to go outside if need be, if you use medication or a thunder shirt, etc have it ready before the fireworks begin.

Welcome Greta and Gracie. These girls are full of personality. They think that being little and ADORABLE gives them a full time pass to less than ideal behavior. So we will spend the next 2 weeks working on their obedience skills and some reactivity issues to make their home life a bit more enjoyable for everyone. 🩷💜

One of the questions I hear most often is: How many training sessions do you do a day?

I totally get folks trying to wrap their heads around how to approach strategizing and breaking down the amount of time they need to succeed with their dog. But...this is the wrong way to view the big picture of training and life with your dog. It's not a session or a set aside time, it's life. All the moments are training. Of course, if you're working on a new, actual behavior you can dedicate a few sessions a day to that specific development, but too many folks are viewing overall training/life as something you do and then don't do. We're training, we're not training.

If you think about living well with your dog - creating solid manners, polite and respectful behavior, and reliable training and living skills - compare it to how you'd go about doing the same with a child. Of course there would be specific teaching moments, but you wouldn't schedule raising you kid with two 25 minute sessions. Of course not. You'd teach specifics when necessary, but the majority of life would be taught in the cracks. The other moments. The "life" moments.

Every moment has the possibility of being a teaching moment, a value moment. Watch for it. And most importantly, view your dog and the behavior you want from him or her to be something you create in a constant flow, not a clock in and clock out. That just teaches your dog to clock in and clock out of good behavior.

This girl is still looking for a 🏠.
Ilka- 6 month old female German Shepherd. German Import, Intact, UTD on vaccines, heart worm and flea prevention. High energy, mid-high drives, good off switch. Is unsure/shy around new people, but warms up. Has had some foundation in luring, bite work and hunt games but i think she would be most comfortable in an active pet home. She is good in public, walks well on leash and is crate trained but otherwise is a pretty blank slate.

Little Rock, AR. Transport can be arranged.

Safe practices for your child and dog!

Let's talk about this photo. It's cute, except it's not. I see a dog who cannot get up without telling the child to get off. How do you think a dog is going to do that?

The 7 Golden Toddler Dog Rules:
#1: If a dog walks away from you, you DO NOT FOLLOW.
#2: Always leave room for the dog to walk away from you.
---that right there is 90+% of dog bites eliminated---
#3: We do not climb on the dog.
#4: We do not grab or pull on the dog.
#5: We do not hit or throw anything at the dog.
#6: We do not touch the dog's food.
#7: We do not go into the dog's kennel.

I promise these are not overly difficult concepts for littles, nor will they rob a kid of their bond with the family dog. It will deepen that bond, while keeping everyone safe.

"Oh, it looks like Moose is walking away from you. She is saying she wants a break. Let's play with this instead!"

"It's Moose's dinner time! Let's give her space to enjoy her yummies."

"That is Moose's room(kennel) and only she is allowed to go in there."

"If Moose wanted a break, could she walk away from you right now? No she really couldn't. Let's move away from the play house. You can keep playing but now she can leave when she wants a break."

In conclusion, ***parent your child or your dog will do it for you, and you will not like how they do it.***
