If you had one wish to use on something material, what would it be?

For me it would be another Ford Excursion. I had one when I was raising my kids and now I’m raising my dog kids and it would be just as useful.

This goofy boy is Gimli. He was from Annie x Bennie so you know he’s special. He reminds me of his late, great dad. He turned 1 at the end of November.

Gimli is neutered, house trained, crate trained and leash trained. We are working on his recall, which is the only issue I’ve seen with him. As a poodle and a young poodle at that, he MUST be crated when left alone and overnight. Otherwise yes he will absolutely get into trouble.

I’ve had him back since just before Christmas but hadn’t posted him as I wanted to get to know him first. One issue he’s had in the past was that he wasn’t crated and chewed up important things. Again, since I’ve had him back I do lot leave him loose and unattended, he goes in his crate. He actually loves his crate, as most dogs do. It’s natural for them to want to be in a “den”.

Truly the only thing I would say is a current issue is recall. I will be working with him more now that there’s less pups and less boarded dogs. He does great with structure. He LOVES to play with other dogs, loves his people, loves his “babies” (toys).

*He is a full standard poodle, he just has a “full face” rather than a poodle cut.

To my friends, my true friends with whom I have a history…. please know that I do not intentionally ignore your messages…

I do not intentionally go weeks or months without contacting you. I love my people and would do anything I can for another human. I actually hate it that people think I’ve forgotten them or what have you.

My life and lifestyle look a little different than most. I choose to “have so many dogs” and they absolutely keep me busy. They often have me stressed the heck out. But I love them and more than anything they bring me so much joy and happiness. But yes - my choice to have a large pack of dogs takes up a lot of my mental and physical energy. Sometimes it’s just better for me to hang with my dogs and avoid the people.

I have goals I’m trying to achieve. And I am killing it. May not look like it yet, but I absolutely see the potential and my hard work and sacrifice will pay off.

I’ve struggled with lots of things in my life. As have most of you. I’ve struggle with mental illness. I used to hide it but I really don’t give a flying fart what anyone thinks regarding my mental illness or my openness about it.

There’s lots of days I post funny memes or stories and make lots of people laugh. Some of those days I’m having trouble getting out of bed. A lot of those days I am rejoicing in the knowledge that I’ll be gone from here and sitting at the right hand of the Father before too long. No im not wanting to go anywhere. But when I am struggling so dang hard just to want to be here, I do find comfort knowing it’s almost over.

I love my people. I hope you have a great day and keep your head up because you matter. You’re here for a reason and we all want to give up at times. But don’t. If you’re still here then there’s a reason for it. Let’s find out the reason. ❤️

To anyone who has recently had difficulty getting ahold of me, I am sincerely sorry about that. I’ve been at the kennel all day every day for awhile now. It is not intentional.

There is very little service here at the kennel and I am waiting for the Starlink to be ready. Thank you so much for being patient. I’m exhausted!

This is CC. She is a young Yorkie that hasn’t been groomed before.
She had been sent home before any grooming was done, previously. With mom’s permission, I took this sweetie with me to pick up my daughter and by the end of the 30-ish minute trip, she and I were bestest best friends.

Her entire groom was done in my arms.
I took my time and gave her lots and lots of breaks and love.
Did she leave here with the perfect Yorkie groom? Nope.
She even left with some tangles.
BUT she left here having learned it is ok to trust the groomer, even if just a bit.
She learned that new experiences aren’t always bad.
She left clean and SECURE and CONFIDENT and a lot more comfortable.
We had some playtime after the groom was finished and I fell in LOVE with this .
…and as my motto goes (and always will): !!
