I'm extremely sad. I lost two of the puppies from Fi Fi's litter. The rescue and I agreed it was best that a foster with a better set up take over their care.

I believe I lost them because they were too cold and my set up could use to be revamped.

Brian was contacted by a good Samaritan who found a kitten in a puddle. He is very sick with a URI and eye infection.
Brian talked to the finder and immediately texted me and said, "You are about to get a phone call". Of course, I was confused, but
I obviously answered, and it was the sweetest woman I have ever spoken with. She just wanted what was best for the kitten and had cleaned his eyes up.
Brian had her call me to see if I felt like taking him on. I was going out to eat with Sydney Goetz so the wonderful finder brought him to me in Avon, from Cleveland. We immediately went and picked up supplies. He had fleas, so he got a dawn and flea comb bath and settled in with a full belly for the night.
So welcome Prince to Straight From the Hart.

And then with Brian and I after only 1 day of meds.

UPDATE:
Gracie has been hanging around and hasnt wanted to leave. She has been seen multiple times since her release. 🥰

Miss Gracie was trapped by her wonderful caretaker. She was a very pregnant feral. She came into our home very scared. She had her days. One day, I could cautiously pet her, and the next day, she would try to murder me.
Gracie had 4 beautiful babies with me. (and "adopted" a 4 week old along the way") They are seriously precious.
Last week, I noticed she was having enough of them nursing. So I pulled her kittens from her. They are 6 weeks old and have been eating hard/soft food for about a week now. So they were only nursing for comfort at that point. After her milk dried up, we took her to the vet to be fixed, ear tipped, and rabies shot.
She went back to her caretaker to heal for a few days, and she was released this morning. She stuck
around for about 30 minutes before she ran off. It was like she was saying, "Thank you for helping me." We are hoping to see Gracie thrive as she comes back for food and shelter. You did good, pretty girl.
Real good.

From mortys foster mom....

My foster boy had his surgery today.❤️ They said that he did well under anesthesia. However, his heart rate slowed and they had to give him a shot of atropine. They took all of his teeth. Unfortunately, there were none that could be saved. It was a total of 30 extractions. He's coming home on pain meds and anti-inflammatories. The surgeon was quite shocked at how bad his mouth was, he was in quite a bit of pain for some time. Thanks to rescue he no longer has to feel that pain anymore. I am grateful for them taking him on. Oreo is the little kitty that was found crying in a Walmart parking lot. He is the last kitten in our home and Is feeling pretty lonely. I'd love to get him in a forever home this week. He is vetted. And 9 weeks old. Message me for details.

He is very laid back. Loves to fall asleep in your lap. But has just the right amount of play. Would do well with other cats and is unsure of dogs. But just runs from them.

It takes a village to make these poor old souls feel comfortable.

Morty was being given away for free on Facebook. He is terrified and has been bounced around due to his fear. He was locked in a room and cries. He is a senior.

We have a foster for him. A very generous donor is going to cover the cost of his vetting but we would like to raise a little money to cover some of that. You can donate directly to our pay pal or can donate directly to our vet when we get his bill.

Are you able to help? Located in Strongsville.
This sweet girl didn’t ask for this. She has been bounced around from home to home for no good reason at all. She is up to date on shots, good with kids, dogs and cats. Needs out soon.
Needs an owner that will understand she is a forever dog. Not an "until dog"

This afternoon I was running errands and stopped by Kohl's in Lorain. I'm heading out the main drive when I looked over to watch the geese and saw something in the grass median. To my surprise, it's this guy (everyone meet Oreo). A 6 week old kitten crawling towards the Walmart parking lot.😖 Naturally, I lock up the brakes, jump out and after very little argument, I grab him up and take him to my car. 😵‍💫

So if you have been following her story.... this is moo cow. (If possible, she needs to keep her name because she knows it. We just call her "Moo".)
She was supposed to be blind but by a miracle she is one happy, healthy, playful kitten. My wish for her is that she will be adopted to someone I know and trust, as I want updates. Like for the rest of her life. Lol
I have hand fed her from 3 days old. I kept her alive, and put a lot of tears and energy into her. She holds a special place in my heart. Message me if you think you would love this special baby and I'll give you all the details.

APPRECIATION POST!

I just feel the need to take a second and recognize the glue of this rescue. He holds it together even when I feel I want to quit. Rescue isn't for the faint of heart.
But he is always a constant reminder to focus on the ones I did save and not the ones I couldn't. He has stood by my side as I've lost animal after animal to this cruel world. This operation wouldn't run as smoothly as it does without him. He shares my genuine love for animals. Even when we are at capacity, he still finds a way to make the space because he knows I live for this.
I'm so grateful I get to go on this journey with you. Let's save some more!

My little moo cow is about to start on soft food shortly. She still desires to nurse but I don't mind it. She is active, healthy, and happy!

Moo cow has a severe eye infection and will most likely be blind per her vet. We have medications. A little to early to tell for sure but but I don't like the looks of her eyes. Stay tuned for further updates on her.

I have been feeding her every hour around the clock. And aside from her eyes she seems to be thriving.
