The thing about SEAACA is they probably kill this many dogs every day. Most of us only track the deadline dogs. We don't know how many just vanish from the web site and the world without anyone noticing. Some don't even make it to the web site.
We generally only notice the dogs they want to notice. We work for free, and they do the killing for money. That is the reality of our work. We don't even know how many Maddox's we're losing.
So my thought is that if you were inclined towards outrage over the ones they killed today, it should be multiplied by the thousands.
But no amount of outrage will bring back these beautiful dogs, cats, chickens, birds, snakes, turtles, rabbits, and yeah, they kill hamsters. All we can do is what we're doing: working tirelessly to save every animal we can from sh*tty shelters like Apple Valley, Riverside, and SEAACA.
Where this sh*tty shelter stands out is that they are a for profit company where 14 mayors get what should be a vital city service for a fraction of the cost of actually caring about the animals in the cities they supposedly serve. Even AVAS vaccinates the dogs they kill.
So, this is a sh*tty shelter kept in business by 14 sh*tty mayors. In my mind, that's who the outrage should be directed towards. The sh*tty shelter is just a symptom of the sh*tty communities it supposedly serves.
