It was scary! We suddenly had to evacuate our home last night. The Sunswept Fire popped up in our neighborhood only 1200m from us. We could see the flames and smoke. Fortunately, our Mom and Dad were prepared and had the car packed. We were able to grab all of our pets (dog, cat, guinea pig, inside fish) and their supplies just as we ran out the door. Thank you to all the Firefighters who quickly contained the fire and saved our house. Sadly a handful of homes in our neighborhood were lost. We will keep a good thought for our neighbors. ❤️
P.S. - We just got back home and we have power and clean water to drink.

Fires all around us, but we are safe. No evacuation warning yet. Prayers for all our friends and family who have been more deeply affected. Thank you to all emergency response personnel who have been working through the night. 🙏
