Yes, it really does take a village.
My dear friend, JoDee Jetton, has actively lived that philosophy by example throughout her career.
JoDee has been a preschool teacher, child care center director all while being a single mom. She has been an advocate for women and children for decades and has based her life‘s work on taking care of others, especially those in need and at risk.
Funny, how life can circle around Sometimes you’re the one that’s helping and sometimes you’re the one that needs some help.
To that end, I’m setting up this GoFundMe page for my dear friend in hopes to raise any funds towards the $12,000 it’s estimated for roofing and interior wall repairs.
She's facing this very costly roof replacement and repairs with only extremely limited disability income.
After trying to tap into every resource available to hurricane survivors, she was unable to secure any funding from FEMA or any local organization. She was on the waiting list for FEMA so long that it closed without fulfilling the entire list. This is the day to day reality in the wake of natural disasters our world is facing. There’s just not enough help for survivors who really, really need it. And JoDee really does.
Although she has been helping others her whole life, it is hard for JoDee to ask for help. I’m sure a lot of us can relate to that, I know I can!
This is a situation where your donations of any size will make a huge difference in protecting her health and quality of life. Having a roof over her head this winter could seriously be the difference between life and, well, not such great outcomes.
If you’re able to donate anything at all towards keeping her safe and dry this winter, I know that your kindness and generosity will be appreciated beyond belief.
Thank you so much for thinking of JoDee and for any help you may be able to offer.
Simply good vibes, prayers and incantations are also graciously accepted.
One Love.
