But there’s one problem, one thing that stands between this handsome boy and his forever home: Gusto is bad at first impressions. He’s been let down by people before, and because of that he often displays fear based aggression when meeting people for the first time. He does warm up if given a chance, but often for rescue dogs, a first impression is everything. So as you can imagine, this fear of strangers has made it really tough for him to win over potential adopters. However, after having spent many months with @_kendall_young_ and now has started training with me, we know that with training and support he can overcome his fears. Gus is already doing so well, but for him to continue with training long enough to make a meaningful difference, he needs our help. He needs people to believe in him. **Update on Vita’s Cancer** Vita is a warrior. She has started her cancer treatment, called #stelfonta , which is administered as an injection into her tumor. As you can see in the video, the injection begins to break down the tumor cell walls, hopefully destroying the tumor and creating a wound where the tumor was. It has been a painful process for Vita so far but treatment seems to be on track at this point. She has a LONG ways to go though, with many vet visits ahead.
