To teach your dog real-world life skills & resolve their behavior issues, it is something you need to be 100% consistent about. Dog training is not something you simply "get around to" it needs to be a lifestyle or you will confuse your dog

Too much freedom too soon for puppies and a lack of consistent communication/ boundaries is 100% what causes all the problem behaviors in adult dogs

A "merit based society" to me means no more purely positive dog trainers. Finally, we can clean up the horrible mess they made of dog ownership. Once & for good! They will always exist in some form but their voices are getting quieted greatly.

Promoting leadership is based in love & mental acuity
Allowing tolerance is based in selfishness & mental laziness

If this post offends you, chances are it was meant for you!

I’m sorry, but you can’t claim to have learned from my classes or say how much you love your dogs if the only yard they have to walk in is covered in their own f***s.

It’s both irresponsible and unsanitary—for your dogs, your family, and anyone visiting your property.

Clean up after your dogs. It’s a basic part of responsible ownership and shows respect for their well-being.

Dog owners who have installed dog doors are often the worst offenders.

While the convenience of a dog door is appealing, it can condition owners to neglect an essential part of the routine: going outside with their dogs and picking up waste immediately.

Letting them use the yard on their own doesn’t mean you’re off the hook.

If you truly value your dogs, take the time to provide them with a clean, healthy environment.

So many dog "experts" with lots to say online. Yet not one of them filed their tax returns as a real world dog trainer nor has a shred of evidence to back up their wild comments and proclamations. These people are why so many dogs are downright miserable.

Someone who contacts me for a dog's behavior issues & feels a need to preface the conversation by stating how "they have had rescues/dogs their entire life" & stuck in the strong preconceived ideas of what their dog needs, They will not be successful.

Minnie is going to be my helper today with client dogs. She is very excited because she knows her travel bag means we are going to do something together. I briefly take her through the steps before loading her into my car. Admittedly, I repeat, commands a few times and say extraneous words which I tell my clients constantly not to do. A good Dog Trainer is self-aware and learns from their mistakes with humility versus defending and making excuses for not giving the most of their effort at all times or working on achieving to do so.

Rottweilers (and most dogs) love to chase, bite, and tug. Your dog is hard wires to be a hunter and killer. Not a fur-baby!

First time Minnie wanted to play with the big dog toy. It weighs as much as her!

500 ft. distance Implied Down command to recall. In video I get excited & say it's 1000 feet. But it's more like 500. Still an impressive performance by Big Su!
