As you prepare to open your heart and home, take a moment to carefully contemplate every aspect, including healthy food, fun toys, cozy beds, and necessary vet care - encompassing routine shots, regular check-ups, and emergency preparedness.

Keep in mind that shelters and rescues often reach capacity, so let's approach this decision with thoughtfulness.

Allow your new pet the time and patience they deserve to settle in, as it typically takes around three weeks for them to feel fully adjusted.
