Today we said goodbye to Wifi.

Wifi went to a new home today from the Expo! Their new mom has followed our journey here for at least a year, even remembering names of babies from last year. I have no doubt Wifi will be loved, adored and cared for.

Thank you for taking the time to learn, ask questions and make sure you were nothing short of ready to take care of them!

Tempest the Ghost...
This slender, striped, sticky turd launched himself at my face while shrieking a battle cry that I can only imagine was on some ancient dragon battlefield. Looked me dead in the face like "Oh crap!" then flew to the floor. Once down there, he did his best to hide. out in the open, and now I know how wild caught animals get caught. I placed a critter keeper over him and left hi in the clear box forcefield while I did his cleanout and he was forced to think about what he had done.
Upon putting him back, he shrieked a victory cry that he'd escaped his captor and wanted to tell his beloved orchid all about it. I don't think the fake plant cares, but if he's happy about it, I'm happy for him.

No one wanted to post guesses in the comments and no one showed up to the live stream once I got it going. (I did have some issues but I waited!)

So since I've made everyone wait all day, you might remember that Lily had a Mother's Day date. Well....meet the Date Night soon-to-be's!

In the wee hours on June 11th, Lily stuck these babies (see what I did there?) to the same glass pane she did with 18 eggs last year! We're doing things a bit differently this time around which will help gather information I have been unable to find.

I have some news. Well...I have good new and bad news.

The bad news is that is doesn't appear that Thestral is gravid, even though we had Tempest with her for 2 weeks. So we are holding off on that project until next year and trying again.

The good news is that Lily and James produced such gorgeous babies that we paired them again! Without going into all the details, we'll call "date night" a success and we'll know in a few weeks whether or not we are going to have 2023 eggs! Stay tuned for more updates!

Excuse my absence, once again, I've been dealing with some family things and some shipping things! We have 5 babies about to ship out tomorrow! And since I'm going to be running low on babies...I decided to work on some things on the side for the in-between. So I am working with some clay to make some hides. These will be painted and sealed with reptile safe sealant. Should I keep them naturalistic or should I do themes?
