Our beautiful and loving Kevin is still searching for his furever home! Kevin is a 4 year old labradoodle. He definitely looks more like a flat coated retriever with curly hair but we were told labradoodle! Kevin loves to snuggle and is very treat motivated. Kevin likes cats and children and likes to play with other dogs. Kevin is the type of dog that needs very slow introductions to other dogs so keep that in mind when considering adopting him. Could you be Kevin’s home for Christmas?

Kevin is a 4 year old Labradoodle. However, Kevin doesn’t look like the typical Labradoodle. Kevin actually looks almost identical to a flat coated retriever mixed with the curliness of a poodle. Kevin also is quite a bit larger than a standard labradoodle, weighing 85lbs. His face, temperament and body type lean more towards flat coated retriever but his hair type definitely speaks poodle. We along with the vet, think maybe he had flat coated retriever somewhere in his lineage and it just came through very strong with Kevin.

Kevin was surrendered to us due to his family welcoming a new baby and just not being able to have time for him anymore.

Kevin has a calm demeanor about him and really just likes to relax. Kevin enjoys running and playing fetch, but spends most of his day snuggled up on the couch or on the floor beneath your feet.

Some things that needs work on would be, leash training/pulling, Kevin would definitely do best in a home that has a fenced in yard and can work on his leash work, he does like to pull when he gets too excited. He is also quite a beggar when it comes to food, however he has gotten better since being with us and not being offered table scraps.

Kevin is a great listener and is very eager to please. Kevin is good with kids/babies, elderly, other dogs and cats. He does want to play with cats though, so would not recommend to a home with cats that aren’t use to dogs because his wanting to play, may stress them out. Kevin is the type of dog that needs a long and slow introduction to other dogs, he needs to feel calm and comfortable when meeting other dogs because he can feel insecure at times, so we feel Kevin would do best in a home with no other dogs, unless you have experience in handling these types of situations.

Bandit is still looking for his furever home❤️

Bandit is about a year old, UTD on vaccines and neutered. He is believed to be a Jagdterrier Mix, weighing about 40 lbs.

Words from his foster mom:

“He knows sit, down & paw but he’s very food motivated & eager to learn. He’s a big lover & cuddle bug - we call him a big compact dog cause of how small he can curl up
He’s got unique eyes with star like linings
Super playful and friendly with other dogs, cats & kids 😇
He will need some training since he’s still a puppy but he’s very smart and loves to please
He has so many cool personality traits just goofy overall and you can tell he’s got an old soul 💙
Bandit previously was found by someone that saved him from being in a cage alll his puppy years to the point he had sores on his paws. It amazes me how forgiving dogs are and that he really doesn’t have trauma from it.
He let me clean off his paws with no issues
He’s such a good, handsome dog he’d make a great companion for someone that has time to train him

Want to help a rescue dog or cat but don’t necessarily want to commit to fostering or adopting?
Consider sponsoring a pet!

What is sponsoring a pet?
Sponsoring a pet is donating towards a specific animal in our rescue’s vet care, training, and or adoption. Sponsoring an animal can help us pay off vet and or training bills and can also help to reduce adoption fees, which in turn, often times helps an animal get adopted faster!

Why sponsor a pet?
Sponsoring a pet helps us help them. As a non profit rescue we rely heavily on donations to provide things such as, vet care, training, food and other things a pet may need. We require an adoption fee as well to cover these expenses. If we did not charge an adoption fee and or if we stopped receiving donations, we would be unable to provide the care and necessities that many of these animals need, sometimes we have vet bills that are thousands of dollars. By sponsoring a pet, you are not only helping that specific pet, but you are also providing our recuse with better means to rescue and save more lives!

This boy is ready for adoption!
We were told that Kevin is a Labradoodle but he appears to have more characteristics of a flat coated retriever mixed with poodle. Kevin is a big boy, he is not a typical sized doodle, he is on the larger size around 85 pounds. Kevin was surrendered to us due to his family welcoming a baby and just not able to have time for him anymore. Kevin is 4 years old, loves to snuggle, he is a big baby and just likes to be scratched and snuggled on the couch. He has a calm demeanor about him and really just likes to relax. Foster needed for this guy. This is Kevin, Kevin is a 4 year old male labradoodle. Kevin is being surrendered to us because his family just doesn’t have the time for him that he needs. Our poor Diamond girl. The sweetest dogs are always overlooked. Diamond has had several people interested in her and even set to meet her but have been persuaded otherwise or changed their mind last minute because of her breed. I am so heartbroken for Diamond that she is judged based off of her breed and not who she is as a dog. Let me tell you a bit about Diamond. Diamond is a lover, she loves to cuddle and give kisses, she loves to chew on her bones and run and play, she loves to play with cats and other dogs. She is sweet with children and babies, she is a great listener and a quick learner. Diamond is everything you could ever want in a dog but because people see that she is part of a stigmatized group of dogs they don’t want her.

Now let me tell you a little bit about Diamonds breed, the breed that is making people turn the other way.
Diamond is a staffordshire bull terrier mix or staffy mix.

“The Stafford is intelligent, learns easily, responds quickly, is calmly protective, and can be a loving and fun companion. They have an ardent desire to please and easily comply with the requests of their owners.” This is a description from the official akc website.

“Staffies are known for being good with children and are often called the "nanny dog"…Staffies are known for being loving, gentle, and devoted to their owners. They are also known for being intelligent, eager to please, and responsive to training.”

Staffordshire Bull Terriers were bred by individuals who had strong greed and bloodlust, who would fight dogs and gamble on them. After coming to America the breed was transformed and bred to be loyal companions and loving family dogs. Over 100 years of breeding they have become known for their loyal and loving temperament and their eagerness to please.

Diamond has been spayed, health tested and vaccinated. She is estimated to be around a year and a half. She’s is a beautiful and sweet what we believe to be staffy mix. Here are some words from her amazing foster mom,

Diamond has a bubbly personality and loves to interact with all people and other pets! In a home with four children under the age of ten, cats, and another dog she's been nothing but gentle and playful.
Diamond has the energy of a young dog, and is very energetic and playful. She loves to get her zoomies out, and then lay around chewing on her toys and eventually falling asleep and snoring! “

Everyone please meet Apollo! Apollo is a little under a year old mixed breed boy. Apollo is being surrendered to us because he was abandoned at his pet sitters home. Apollo’s family left him with his dog sitter and then never came back for him😔 Due to Apollo still being young, he is a little bit high energy and excitable. Apollo will need to be seen by a vet and have a neuter scheduled as soon as we get him. Apollo does know a few tricks and is good with children. Everyone meet Nyla. Nyla is a 2 year old blue brindle pitbull. Nyla is looking for a foster or foster to adopter, she is spayed but we would like to get her into a vet and get a nice check up and get some of her vaccines updated. Nyla is a snuggly girl who loves to go on walks, swim, and play fetch. Nyla knows many tricks and just wants to find a home where she can be loved and give everyone cuddles. Everyone meet Mabel🤎
Mabel was surrendered to us by a family that just felt they couldn’t give her the proper care she needed. Prior to coming to us, Mabel’s name was actually Fluffy, but due to her “lovable” nature we renamed her Mabel which quite literally means “lovable”! Mabel is a very sweet girl, she loves to snuggle and make biscuits, she likes other cats but still isn’t too sure how to play with them. She likes dogs but gets spooked if they get too hyper. Mabel is good with kids and just wants to be loved and giben head scratches. Mabel’s favorite thing to do is to crawl into your arms and curl up there. Mabel is a little over 1.5 years old. She is spayed and UTD on vaccines. Mabel had a history of Seizures in her past home but has not had one since being in our care. The vet gave her a thorough work up and says she is a healthy girl. Mabel would love to have a home for Christmas.
