Since the recent case of CWD in Breckenridge on a farm ‼️Breckinridge, Hardin and Meade Counties are now CWD Surveillance counties. There are NOT Mandatory check station requirements as of now… but NO more ingestible baiting…corn, grain, feed, salt licks, mineral sites, etc are all banned.
So what does this mean for taxidermy? If you are in one of these areas call your taxidermist first to see what zone they are in. Personally, for our hunters in these areas Fords Back2Life Taxidermy will be offering free field care services. If you are in one of these counties call us at 502.741.6222 and we will come and cape your deer to get him off the skull cap for you if you're getting a mount done with us so your deer can travel across county lines for taxidermy. What's the most unusual thing you've captured on a trail cam? Craziest I've seen is this bird. Apparently it is a cardinal with a genetic disposition to being more white then red. Pretty neat though.

Fords Back2Life Taxidermy's first year being open to the public was a great success! We would like to thank all the customers who entrusted us with not just their trophy bucks and turkeys, or their children's first bucks and turkeys, but also their beloved pets.

When my husband and I decided to open our taxidermy business in the heart of Louisville, we were not aware of the huge gap in the market for our services. Because of this, we are excited to announce that this year we will be expanding our taxidermy services to include full or partial-body soft mounts for both game animals and pets. If you don't know what a soft mount is, (it is a fairly new addition to mainstream taxidermy) I will include a picture below.

We are also eager to tell everyone that we will continue to offer 10% off of all taxidermy services for new customers. For returning customers we will be offering the choice of either a free plaque with your whitetail shoulder mount or european mount or a 10% discount on services. In addition to that, we will continue to offer an extra 5% off all services for veterans. Please bring proof in any form you can for the veterans discount.

Our turkey and whitetail mounts are still going to be between 6-8 months out for shoulder and about 2-4 weeks for european and antler mounts. I am also going to include an updated price list below for some of our more popular services. If something is not on the list that you would like to ask about feel free to give us a call for a quote.
